The Shared Table
The exterior of The Shared Table is deceptive and provincial, because the interior is this moody and beautiful restaurant with a striking mirror as its centrepiece and colours inspired by My Buninyong. We didn’t dine in but opted for a picnic on such a sunny and beautiful day. Really enjoyed the chicken salad, the sliders and the prawn butter is divine. For dessert, we created our own pavlovas, such fun and also delicious

There are not enough stars to describe our night at The Shared Table! It was absolute perfection, and I doubt you'd have a better experience anywhere. The food is sensational, the staff are engaging and helpful. I give this restaurant the highest of recommendations.

The wait staff were amazing very attentive. The food was incredible and the iced coffee was delicious. Can recommend the advacado Louis, sweet dressing with a tiny sweet kick. Amazing.

We opted for a two course set menu at $65 a head. The main, Chicken Kiev, was totally raw. Not just a bit pink, completely raw. We sent it back only to have it returned, microwaved so it was a soggy rubber ball with absolutely no garlic butter, all gone. Same vegetables on the plate complete with raw chicken juice. I asked for some garlic butter to make the dry rubber swallowable, only to receive the frozen butter that goes in before the chicken is fried. Mistakes happen but we should have received entirely new meals. No discount all that happened was we had our sparkling water taken off the bill. Claims an unsupervised apprentice was in the kitchen which is non compliant. Would never return. Absolutely terrible experience.

Spent a lovely Mother's Day lunch with my Mother and Daughter - the food was absolutely beautiful. Snacks to start with beautiful crispy duck cooked to perfection. Desert was a beautiful salted caramel tart - divine! So lovely to have celebrated the Mothers Day luncheon here - fine dining at its best today. Thank you to the lovely ladies who served us and complements to the Chef and his skilled team. Delightful!

The shared table never fails to impress.With the menu regularly changing we have never had the same meal twice.The work and thought that goes into what is presented on the plate from presentation to taste, always excites the senses.

This is the best place you could possibly go to in Ballarat, the food was absolutely sensational, the lady even asked the chefs if they could cook my food even though the kitchen was closed and they did! I will be back again soon and hopefully I will be served by the same people again. God bless the owners of this restaurant!

The food was superb but the service was genuinely terrible. We got one small starter in the first hour. When we complained we were given excuses about staffing. They were gracious enough to give us some wedges and some donuts to take away. Such a disappointment because the food was really good. We will try again, and hope the staff turn up.

Really lovely staff and service. Food just what it said on the menu and perfect. Try the Santo burger and hand cut chips. More people should give this place a go. Bit of a hidden gem.
