Absolutely top shelf service and food! Staff were attentive, friendly and very professional to service delivery. Specials were explained and actually sounded too good to miss so I took them... reasonably priced but for the service provided, they are actually under pricing. Food was beautifully presented - I watched other plates as well coming out - and fresh. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Great location overlooking Town Beach. Started with a cocktail and sparkling wine followed by the King Fish Ceviche, Burnt Cod Skewers for entrées and the Barrimundi and Salmon with a side of charred cabbage for mains. Interesting fusion of Asian spices combined with Seafood to produce subtle flavour dishes. The service was excellent, friendly and attentive with a side of cheery humour. We had a great evening and was well priced for the style and service. Will visit again next time we are in Port.

Food is always very good and service very friendly. Seafood chowder is a fave. I knew the chowder fills me up so I had the soft shell crab entree for my main. Hubby loved his burra. We should come more often.

The seafood platter was excellent. It came out in 2 courses. The hot one 1st followed by the cold. A wonderful home made seafood sauce accompanied this & was really tasty, not a hint of vinegar to make it bitter.

We use to come every year and the food was fantastic. Went tonight and it has really gone down hill. The spring rolls were cold in the middle we sent them back. The fish & chips were terrible it wasn't fresh and hardly any fish and mostly batter and the portion size was so small. Two tiny pieces of fish, a few fries and half the plate was full of tartar sauce for $29. The salad was unseasoned and underdressed. We asked for medium rare steak and it come out medium to well done. On top of all this the service was terrible. This use to be a restaurant we use to look forward to going to everytime we were in Port Macquarie after tonights experience we will never be back

For our last night stay in Port Macquarie to end our holiday, my wife and I returned to Scampi's, as we were quite pleased with the lunch and service, since we first arrived about a week ago. Unfortunately, there was a large group booking and the restaurant was struggling to manage, due to only two staff (inclusive of bartender) on duty. For entree, we shared half dozen Kilpatrick ($23), sea scallops ($23), seafood chowder ($21) and a bucket of prawns ($20). For main, we ordered an ocean trout ($35), and two glasses of corte giara white wine ($9) to complement the seafood dishes. Our bill came out to $140, which is reasonable in comparison with the nearby sister restaurant The Stunned Mullet, which is overpriced and, perhaps, overhyped. Scampi has similar ambience and food quality and taste is quite good as well.
