Had a colour done wasn't happy with result and my hairdresser Denise & the salon owner went out of their way to fix the problem very happy with final result thank you for the extra time and care to completely redo my colour so that I was happy with colour

Highly recommend this salon in Hervey Bay. Jake provided the best cut and style I've had in years. He knew exactly what I wanted and what would suit me. Since having it cut I have had people complimenting me on the style and asking where I got it done. Will definitely return when next in the area, thanks Jake

Very happy with my experience at Headlines. Jake was very knowledgeable and helpful in working out the best colour for me. The final colour looked wonderful - and beautifully styled. The salon is lovely and bright and airy and gorgeous products.

I was tempted to give 2 stars but after consideration and as warning for others, couldn't justify it. I waited 3 weeks to write this review to let my feelings of angst and upset settle, and I no longer feel as invalidated as when this event occurred. I live and work in Hervey bay over the last year and have been looking for a hair dresser, so reading the rave google review's convinced me to give headline hair a go. So I booked for 1245 on a day off work for a colour and cut, little realizing 5 hrs of my life were to be wasted, and as a middle-aged women, it seemed I was almost invisible to the staff. I specifically explained I wanted a different hair color as I had tried the sliver fox and found it aging and harsh. After a requested quote from the hair dresser, I explained 328 was a little out of my budget and we agreed on 3/4 head of foils and a cut for 230 instead. We spent some time looking at a color chart and I agreed the light toffee colour would suit. So as she was juggling multiple customers, about 3 hrs later at the wash bowl I looked in the mirror and realised I was more silver/ grey then when I walked in.From there she avoided me, as I said simply this was why I had come, to change the color, and not what I wanted. I sat in the corner, watching woman come and go, smiling and happy with their hair, feeling jealous and unimportant.I was obviously handed over to the manager, who gave me a lovely cut, hence 1 star, talked about golden highlights and suggested I make another booking. By this time I was hungry, tired and fed up, literally 5 hrs !! And I can't go back, felt to humiliated.I paid 230 dollars and went home. Moral is, be very explicit about the color you want, then check it, be prepared to spend about half a day and pay a lot of money if you go to headlines. Hopefully it will be the a better experience then mine.
