Darshan Indian Restaurant

The woman on the desk was so rude to my husband who asked about chickpeas and was bluntly told he wasn't saying chickpeas correctly. As far as I know it's chole in hindi and chickpeas in English so why he needed English correction I don't know. I would have tolerated such rudeness had the food been good but the chole we did get was super sweet inedible and ended up in the bin . So much for mothers day dinner. We ended up eating toast which tasted better than the food from here. And before you jump to any conclusions about what would I know about food from bharata , I have an Indian ethnic background and never had I had sweet inedible chole like this.

We visited on a Friday night and there were a few diners but not too busy. We enjoyed a range of curries, dosa and naan. Favourite was probably the dosa and Daal. Dishes were good but lacking some boldness in terms of flavour and spice, just all a bit mild tasting. Prices and serving sizes were reasonable.

We dined using a 30% offer from thefork and we had an enjoyable experience. The keema dosa was very fresh and for mains we had butter chicken, beef vindaloo and the goat curry. All were good but I wouldn’t say great. The naans were terrific. Service was good.

Great local Indian food. My kids love their Butter chicken and complimentary papadums. We tried a couple of their other curries and equally good. Food tasted fresh and naan was always hot and toasty. Lovely place.

The food at this restaurant is excellent. The service is slow and disinterested. I would highly recommend this place for pickup or delivery, but skip eating in.

We ordered dosa their speciality. They served dosa with chutney and sambar. Chutney didn't look fresh and it was completely cold, directly from freeze. Upon smell we realised that it was spoiled. They didn't check the food before serving and preferred to serve spoiled food instead of fresh. One star because there isn't option for zero or negative.

Best Indian in the area, gorgeous curry flavours, tender & quality cuts of meat. Would highly recommend.

The food portion is really tiny.Plates and glasses are not washed properly. They are oily with fingerprints all over.They use toilet hand paper towel for dining. Just cannot believed it.

Despite of living in the neighbourhood, I never could give a shot to this place because I felt the lack of interest; had doubts over the food quality and also the mixed reviews. Turns out to be my gut feeling was right. I ordered couple of different things over the weekend in which the Chicken biryani was the worst. It tasted like a salt box and didn’t even have aroma of “Biryani”. My friends and I couldn’t even swallow a single bite. Peshwari naan was a absolute joke! It didn’t have any dried fruits and nuts not even a single piece. It had only coconut garnish with fennel seeds only. Completely bland.Above all, worst customer service experience I have ever had. When I went back to the restaurant to address my concerns esp in terms of biryani, I was told I would get a refund but further was inquired about food from the waitress, I told her what’s wrong and what isn’t - she rolled her eyes on me. Voilà! It took to a shock to see that. I confronted her for her attitude which was completely inappropriate but she had a audacity to tell out loud to her senior at back that “she can’t deal with this shit”. Like seriously? Even if you want to curse a customer, just don’t do it on their face at least. We all deal with customer complaints and what not, but if the customer service is good, one would actually let know all the other things even the tasteless of the food. It got me to this point where I had to write this down. No wonder I didn’t want to try this in the first place but here we go, never again! Utter disappointment!
