Utterly useless. Just shows how much of a farce their idea of climate change is. We're now having a 3rd consecutive La Nina year. Waste of money. The $1 billion dollars should've gone to, I don't know, a nice amusement park in Sydney? Perhaps a Disneyworld. Sydney is in dire need of theme parks.Drinking water is enough in Sydney and it always will be. We still get a lot of rainfall, even during El Nino years (East coast lows anyone?). We're on the bloody coast for crying out loud and we have a humid subtropical climate. Desalination plants should be constructed in Adelaide or something.

if this plant reduces sydneys dependence on rainfall then its worth every cent. hopefuĺly we wont need to be build another one

Great road for burnouts, drag racing etc... Oh yeah and the plant is pretty cool too.
