Epsom Fish and Chips
Very poor quality. The oil needs changing. The potato cakes have little potato in them. The fish was passable. I stopped buying chips a long time ago as they were cooked first and left to stand while the rest of the order was prepared. The chips were lukewarm. I will never waste my money at this place again. It is the only fish shop in Epsom. Hopefully the owner will sell soon. Very poor quality.

Unfortunately yet again another disappointing meal from these guys. You use to be pretty good, gone down hill massively. Never again am I wasting my money on this rubbish, I'm done :(

I was pleasantly surprised at both the quality of food and exceptional customer service after seeing some previous reviews.Do yourself a favour and try this place for yourself before reading too much into the review score.

Epsom Fish and Chips
Disappointing. Told over phone order was still not ready and waited a bit longer. Went in and it was in the warmer but gravy was not even made. Waited for 5min and took food to the car. Came back in and still not ready. Should have had it ready all at same time. I told them to not worry about gravy and left. I only live 5 min from shop and got home. Chips were undercooked and cold. Burgers lukewarm. Clear that food had been ready for a while. No sense of urgency from the staff or polite customer service.

Epsom Fish and Chips
Was very disappointed to drive home and discover that a majority of our order was uneatable. I find it insulting that the owner himself packaged our order and considered the state of the food was acceptable to sell to us. That burnt crud you see in the photo are potato cakes that I was suppose to feed my kids but instead threw in the bin. Absolutely appalling and is not the first time. We have also had a hair in a souvlaki in previous orders but the burnt food is becoming common.

Ordered online through a 3rd party delivery service, and ordered what I thought was Chips and Gravy, because it was under the heading “Chips and Gravy”, and seeing as the price was $7.50, I thought that seemed the right price. Received a single tub of gravy, no chips. Due to the misleading menu, worked out I was supposed to pay an extra $8 if I wanted chips. Rang the shop to suggest they may want to clarify the menu (I didn’t ask for a refund or extra food, just the suggestion) to be told “we haven’t had this problem before”. Staff couldn’t care less so it was my first and last time eating here.

Epsom Fish and Chips
Unlike most F&C, you get very well cooked soft flaky fish, generally a full fillet rather than a sliver of white sludge. Crispy unctuous chips with soft centre, crisp flavourful batter, hamburgers are thick and full of flavour, and the little add-ons you get are cooked extremely well. In the top 2 f&c I have been to.
