I wasn't sure about the colour of this rug I bought just before Xmas and expressed this to the saleswoman. She advised me that if it wasn't suitable I could always bring it back and exchange or get a refund. I ended up doing this after the Xmas holidays, the rug was unused and in the same condition I bought it in but the same woman told me this time that I had to return it within two weeks of the purchase date, something which she omitted when she encouraged me to buy it. I explained that it was a bit difficult due to Xmas, the holidays and limited retail days. She also spoke with another salesperson who was of the same opinion as herself so they would not except it back or exchange it. Untrustworthy salespeople with extremely poor customer service.

Beautiful selection of furniture with amazing staff who are friendly and considerate.

Dishonest and Incompetent. We saw the Flow Bed" in premium fabric at the Fitzroy store and fell in love with it. We returned home and called the store to place and order. Sales girl calls us back 5 minutes later saying AMEX not accepted despite initially saying it was. No big deal

All staff are informed interested and tireless in helping me find what I want

We have now bought several items from southwood and they have always been very helpful. When we first received the bedframe and side tables we weren’t happy with the varnish. they did not hesitate to organise pickup and delivery of re-varnished items, with no cost to us, which are now perfect. We have been very happy shopping at southwood

I have had the pleasure to shop at Southwood many times over the years after buying my first rug from their Queens Parade store back in 2009. I love the furniture, rugs,linen and numerous gifts I have purchased from them. The quality is fantastic and most of their products are sourced locally and made sustainably. I love it that they care!The girls who work there are lovely , nothing is too much trouble they give the best advice and have a great eye for colour and styling. I highly recommend this beautiful store and the wonderful staff .

I could not have had a better experience buying my dining table from Southwood. Not only were the staff so friendly and helpful (right down to the delivery guys), but I am so happy with my table - such beautiful quality and something I will cherish forever.
