Leaving Launceston I dropped in without any great expectation as I just needed some food in my stomach.So after purchasing some take away my stomach was full .I imagine that the Bain Marie food had been there for a while and as such it was pretty ordinary but no more that any other fish and chip take away in the afternoon .The place was busy and it seemed that the staff had their hands full at the time.One of the reasons for stopping there was to easy parking.It's pretty much as you would expect so I would go there expecting some kind of special culinary experience.

Food was good as usual, service was not. I was waiting on some chips, I had paid for them, they were brought out to the bain-marie, and the young girl took no notice and was too busy refilling the salad bar, there were two other ladies running around behind the counter taking no notice of anything. There were other customers waiting to be served also.Service used to be so good there. Not sure I’ll be going back in.

We have been getting battered flake from here for several years and the fish has always been excellent. However last week we found the fish to be very tough as though it hadn't been cooked properly. We didn't post anything then thinking it was probably just a one off. However we ordered the same again today and it was even worse. Tons of very greasy batter but the fish was as tough as nails with no flavour and a dull grey colour. After a mouth full it went straight into the bin. Sorry but you have lost us as loyal customers.
