When in Shearwater George and Dave's is the place to get amazing food and good coffee. I would recommend trying the breakfasts you not he disappointed.

Great breakfast options, freindly staff. The food here is great and reasonably priced. Dont miss their all day breakfast.

been to G&D's multiple times whilst having lived in tassie a few years back, and was always impressed. Today however, felt the opposite. Asked for two pieces of toasted sourdough (with butter) some fresh avocado, and bacon. I also ordered a soy flatwhite. Coffee was great! was surprised to enjoy a soy coffee with a non- traditional soy milk brand. For food, i was given untoasted bread, smashed (old) avocado with large amounts of pepper and fat-heavy bacon on a bed of some sort of beetroot dressing that I had not asked for. In normal circumstances, I would nod and smile and say I was pleased with the meal. However, when a male waiter served us he asked me for details regarding the food and I disclosed, all to be met with silence and no compensatory words. That really disappointed my partner and I and having never publicly reviewed a cafe before, unheard feedback ultimately lead us to.

Delicious food. I had the eggs benedict and I would certainly recommend it. Patrons on an adjacent table were remarking between their table as to how they each were really enjoying their lunches also. The staff were attentive and kind. The room has a little fire place adding ambience. In all, a lovely lunch. Thank you.

The food is delicious and excellent value for money. Their burgers are amazing.Try their Ginger Ninja drink. Lovely wood fire keeps you cosy whilst you dine.

Great place to take the family! Had breakfast and was one of the best I have ever eaten. Thank you. Will definately be back again. Great coffee too....

Terrible! Called in on the way to a client to have coffee and a wrap. Placed the order. 15 minutes for the coffee. 10 more minutes to be told “sorry, there will be a wait for you wrap”Worst service experience for a long time!To their credit they didn’t charge me for the coffee but still...

Decor seems unfinished and s bit confusing. People pleasant. Service good. As it's an open area where cooking, smells of other foods was a bit off putting. Coffee not the best, but the home made aranchini balls were amazing and the combination of foods in their salad lovely. I'd go again yo try other items on the menu.

Great food and coffee. Dog friendly in rear courtyard, well protected from wind. Lovely on a sunny day, even if cold. Terrific service.
