I would never come back again , I don’t think the owner even ever been to high quality yum cha restaurants himself /herself , the food not fresh , I believe they cook frozen packaged food , the environment is dirty . Highly recommend anyone who wants real yum cha go to China town

Came here with some friends and the food was sensational. The salt and pepper eggplants were amazing, it was so crispy outside but tender inside. The mushroom was so soft and full of flavour, it was the best I've had so far. The duck pan cake was delicious, I can almost finish the entire plate on my own.

Outstanding service with world class Chinese dishes. The honey chicken is to die for along with the amazing dumplings. Loved the special fried rice as well. Our host & chef, Victoria goes above & beyond and is so passionate about serving her customers. Also, we had alot of dishes modified to suit our vegetarian requirements. So thankful. Overall, we were so happy and blessed with such great company & food. Thank you Family Tea House for our pinnacle dining experience.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our meals tonight. Broccoli, mushrooms and tofu - the broccoli was yellow (in bloom) ; Salt and pepper eggplant batter wasn’t good (not light) and the chilli salt and pepper was sparse; lastly the sweet and sour chicken was nuked! Batter was so over fried, too dark brown, crunchy! ☹️

For myself, I think the chef cooks very beautifully.The only problem is the sauce was too light.Maybe should consider adding some more seasoning. Some items are bitted slightly more expensive than other restaurants.In general, I will come back again.

Was ok again food. Barramundi in xo wasn't xo. Fried noodles were nice. BBQ meats also decent. Yum cha dumpling skin too thick.

Wow!!! Celebrated my 51st Birthday in style. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so warm & friendly. I was in so impressed with the great Singapore noodles along with the dumpling which were die for. Thank you Family Tea House and we will definitely be back with the family & friends. Definitely number 1 for food quality & service when it comes to Chinese cuisine.

Amazing! We have been going to this restaurant for over 8 years now. They remember us every time, even when it’s been months/years between dinners. The food is absolutely delicious, the best Yum Cha in Melbourne! Do yourself a favour and visit this restaurant!
