Tannum Sands Hotel
Where the locals and tourists come to play.Dining here on Saturday was a great way to spend our last night at Tannum Sands. Within half an hour of us arriving, the place was packed with groups of families and friends.It was nice to see that the hotel offered a jumping castle for the kids (only on Saturdays), live music for the adults with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating.All meals were the standard pub price but the portions were quite generous. The Seafood Experience was our top meal for the night. The dish was fresh, the hot food was crispy and it was well presented on a 3 tiered tower.Tips and Recommendations:- Book a table as the hotel fills up quickly- Pimm's Jug easy to drink, good for sharing and great for the Summer heat- Seafood Experience (Tower)- King Avocado Schnitzel- Full rack BBQ Pork Ribs great for sharing

Tannum Sands Hotel
I had a great experience at the hitel today. I have visited this hotel a number of times over the years for meals and drinks. Today we stopped for a cocktail while on a girls' day out. I asked for a mocktail and while there wasn't one officially on their menu, the manager was happy to make me a drink. He also gave me the drink for free as I was sober bob for the day. We always stop in when we are passing through. Meals have always been tasty. Happy to recommend.

Attended the hotel for lunch, expecting a nice meal and a couple of beers. Beers were great but the meal was lacking, after parting with $75 for a steak and barrumundi. The meals arrived without the ordered gravy and there was no tartare sauce with the fish. The steak was ordered for medium rare, but arrived very well done, tough, grey and luke warm, chips were cold. This place has gone downhill since this time last year..... disappointing.

Shame. Great spot, good building and some willing staff.Management is a shambles though and the food? Absolutely shocking. Coral trout cooked within an inch of fossilisation. Ribs the same.Perfect example of no other choice. However if you want to eat and have staff who are invested, go to the Surf club. More pared back but much better food and a warmer atmosphere.

Really nice atmosphere to sit out in the fresh air on the lounges, watching the sea in the distance.Lounges need a bit of repair as you sink into them on top of eachother.Dinner was nice, very tasty and good size serve.Will definitely return.Be really great to try the carvery dinner on Wednesdays. Hopefully as tasty as the rest.
