Amazing food with fabulous flavours, team members are rushed at times with limited seating so booking is advised,Well worth the drive to experience this gem in Hornsby.

Lilong by Taste of Shanghai Hornsby
One day last week, I went to Lilong Hornsby with my husband and my son for dinner, we had a wonderful night there. The food was super great with the traditional taste from China especially from Shanghai. Our family comes from Shanghai, and it is fascinating to eat hometown food. Furthermore, we should address our appreciation to the waitresses there, they were so friendly and nice, we were treated just like the old friends of them. We indeed enjoyed our night in Lilong by Taste of Shanghai Hornsby, and we will definitely come back this restaurant again.

Great food and service here on a rainy Saturday lunchtime.Friendly and fast service. All the food was fresh, hot and tasted great. Over-ordered for 2 people but that's easily fixed with a takeaway boxGreat everything! Definitely be back here again.Update: 7/8 back again. In at 11am so everything super fresh and hot again. Over ordered - again. I think this is the 3rd or 4th time at this one and it's still one of the better ones.

The food is generally good but can be hit or miss. The few times we went for lunch and dinner, the food was ok but nothing to write home about. The service is not my favourite. For the price, I could do better elsewhere.

A overall good experience, polite helpful staff that provided prompt service. While the restaurant was small, it still provide enough room to sit and move around comfortably, decor was interesting enough. We had the following three dishes.The Braised Duck in special soy sauce was too salty. We enjoyed a bowl of Pork and Pawn wonton each, it was very pleasant as were the salt and pepper Pork ribs serving size for that was enough for 2 to 3 people.

Clean environment and quick service. The food quality was fine but not extraordinary. We loved the fried rice cake. The texture of Rick cake was chewy but soft, well seasoned. Soup dumpling had a nice filling but the outer layer could be thinner. The cold dish - salted duck, we just didn’t really enjoyed the duck when served cold but the seasoning was nice.

Hubs and I have eaten here at Lilong Hornsby many times. The food has always been extremely delicious and the waitresses have always been helpful and friendly. We've never had to wait very long for our order so it's very surprising to read other people's bad experiences. We think it's a fabulous restaurant and highly recommend!

The food is horrible. I ordered sweet & sour pork but they were just batter with little pieces of meat and many pieces didn’t have any meat in it. Even looks different from the menu. The food is not edible and should not be sold. Never go to this restaurant!!!
