NOT HAPPY - I expected much better but sadly disappointed.WHAT HAPPENED: Brand New Italian wool jumper bought in Sydney for an exorbitant price. The quality was amazing, definitely much better than department store merchandise, it was only worn once, they shrunk it with dry cleaning process (even though they assured me they wouldn't) and knit weave was ruined by excess scrubbing in stain removal attempt. But not only on the front where the stain was, they also destroyed the fibre on the back. That area has excessive shrinkage. It looks like they tried to steam press out their mistake of fabric distortion and all that did was further shrink the body of the jumper as the sleeves have barely shrunk. The jumper is also ingrained with something like chemicals that have hardened and damaged the wool.ITS NOW UNWEARABLE as INTENDED as a GOOD GOING OUT GARMENT.While they are nice well-meaning people who have good customer service attitude, they don't appear to have experience and/or ability with fine delicate quality items.I'm asking them to fix the problem. I will post how it goes.___________________________________________________UPDATE #1I took the jumper to two other dry-cleaners to assess it. Words were 'once shrunk nothing you can do', 'the clean seems to be attempted wet, and now has matting', 'should never have been attempted the way it was done', and 'unrecoverable'.So far, even though the dry-cleaners that damaged it have offered to replace it, then offered compensation of a mere pittance (fraction of the original price), and ignored my emails, it seems that they think the problem will go away. I've asked them to reply by the weekend of 28th May 2023, otherwise I will need to escalate it to all the levels needed for rectification.When I gave this dry cleaner who damaged the jumper a note describing the events and damage, I suggested they claim on insurance. They said they have 'no insurance'. For a business to not have insurance is unthinkable. Please look out for the next UPDATE._____________________________________________________UPDATE #2:Its now in the hands of NSW Fair Trading, Department of Customer Service who will intervene. If its not resolved there or no common sense prevails the next steps get very interesting. Its within the parameters of a valid claim for a full replacement._____________________________________________________UPDATE #3:Surprisingly they responded, sadly with NO INTEGRITY, NO RESPONSIBILITY, NO ACCOUNTABILITY, and NO SENSIBLE SOLUTION ATTEMPT.All I can say is BE WARY and CONCERNED, GOOD LUCK taking your clothes there.I would be grateful if they would just be mature and have a bit of common sense. Maybe that's just not within their capacity.______________________________________________________UPDATE#4:NSW Fair Trading have suggested this issue gets escalated to a higher Tribunal as the Dry Cleaners are maintaining an obstinate and unreasonable stance. It seems they believe they can destroy customers property and deprive the customer of their items. Therefore its now escalated to the next level.BEWARE: This is what happens when careless unskilled and 'have a go' at your good clothes. The lady at the shop was friendly and very professional. That said however, they are as expensive as some dry cleaners in Sydney and the shirts smelled a bit. Not going back, sorry.

A very positive experience. Wendy & Kerri are absolutely lovely & went out if their way to make sure my wedding dress was altered, cleaned & pressed in time for my big day. I can't remember the gentleman's name who works out the back doing the drycleaning but he did a fantastic job. The customer service was A1. I would highly recommend.
