Went in for lunch on Sat 7th Jan. Stood at the order counter while the 2 guys making coffees did their best to ignore me. The girl from the back room finally arrived and took my order. 2 X Coffee and a chicken and avo sandwich. Girl asked if I wanted fresh or toasted and I told her fresh. The order arrived with watery coffees and the sandwich had two small pieces of chicken on each side and the avo was brown. Also not fresh as requested but toasted. Horrible, will not go back there.

Overall the experience was okay. Front of house services was excellent, however service was really slow by the waiting staff needed to be a bit more faster and aware of table attendees. Plates were cracked. Hot beverages weren't too good wasn't that great for price paid, so perhaps will give a miss for the next time.

A waste of $21.50 and 30 minutes.Noone else in Cafe when we ordered 2 cappuccinos and 2 toasted banana bread with butter. We watched people after us, come in, order, get their coffee : eventually ours arrived. Good taste but lukewarm. OK. What can ya do? Time passes, other people get their food, I prompt the staff for the banana bread. Clearly they've forgotten. Young fellow proceeds to put the banana bread thru the cold toaster, then brings it to us cold banana bread with unmelted butter. His response its been thru the toaster" with a shrug.Accuse us of being fussy if you like

We dropped in just as they were getting ready to close, but the Barnstaple was happy to make us a drink in a takeaway cup (which we drank onsite). My chair latte was deliciously creamy and tasty and my husband said his latte was great too. The staff were so friendly and helpful, when they could have been rushing us out the door. I will definitely return (maybe a little earlier next time!)

I don't usually leave reviews but I felt this place deserves it. The food was great, the coffee was great, and the staff were friendly. The menu has a wide variety to suit all ages. It was a great family Sunday Brunch.

Worst coffee ever had. Ordered oat piccolo. It was burnt and really bitter. My partner asked for water, and a guy at the counter didn't even look just nodding. Then we had to ask again to the other guy again for water. Food wasn't too bad compared to the price except a tiny slice tomato meant to be grilled tomato.""

It’s nice to find a Cafe that does the small things so well!Located a little way from the marketplace, This Cafe provides a wonderful atmosphere and food selection to cater for 1:1 catch-ups or for that family brekkie to get out of the house on a rainy day.The food is delicious, simple yet full of flavour.On a busy day, you will notice the noise of people talking but that’s okay, tuck yourself in one of the couch’s and you will find it a little haven for you and your crew.
