Contacted CMR and gave details about a misfire I had on my silvia, dude said he would fix it no worries as he’s experienced w sr20’s. Took full advantage of my budget, refused to hand the car over unless I payed in cash, couldn’t provide a dyno sheet or receipt for the work done. Upon picking up the car dude could hardly tell me what was done on the car, and told me to fix my problem needed to replace coilpacks, did exactly what was told and problem still remains. I feel like CMR took advantage of me due to my young age and high budget. Took the car to another local shop who fixed the car for a 1/4 of the price and actually gave the car back to me fixed. Highly do not recommend unless you want to pretty much throw ur cash in the bin. Highly unprofessional and embarrassing to even call themselves a workshop. Was constantly pressured to try and upgrade parts which didn’t need upgrading. I’m still shocked at the refusal of a dyno sheet or receipt. Only difference I could notice once I got the car back was a few wires were tidied up, nothing a monkey w a roll of tape couldn’t do in 5 minutes. Disgusting workshop! Do not go here your money is better spent else where. Also read previous reviews, every 1 star the shop is claiming to be fake or “no records” but they only don’t have records because they pick and choose who to take advantage of, don’t be fooled by these bogus 5 star reviews, word of mouth will tell u nothing but bad service from this shop.

I've been taking my cars to rick for over 9 years. I would never take it anywhere else. Anyone giving a bad review is someone who doesn't understand cars at all. Rick gives a good idea on price for big jobs and will not do anything without the clients approval. There are so many variables with big builds and any adult knows that. Seeing some negative posts does not sound like rick at all and if I'm honest looks fishy.

I highly recommend Rick & Terry, they were honest, knowledgeable, and their pricing was excellent too. I am taking my R34 back to them in the future.

This bloke is very sketchy when he does a quote, then does diagnostics in the wrong order trying to get a high output before essential parts are replaced because he couldn't be bothered waiting. Customer ends up paying the extra dyno runs he couldn't care less, and very poor advice from him. He will say yes he can do the job and then let you down. I am not using my real name as I don't trust him hence his reply. Trust me he is only after money in the thousands, even refuses to give a reliable quote first.

I would like to praise Rick & his team at CMP, who have been professional and a pleasure to deal with. I purchased car that has a service history at CPM. I called and spoke to Rick who provided me his time to explain the car's history and emailed me the history for my records as I live in Sydney. Thank you Rick, you are gentleman and a professional. I love the Celica GT4 you and your team built, it is quite a well engineered machine.

FantasticI recently used Rick and Terry, to do a tune on my VH commodore with an EFI system. We had a couple of false starts due to errors with the existing build. Mostly fuel and a failed part on my Sniper.The perseverance and diagnostics these guys came up with was bang on. They discovered a faulty MAP sensor in my Holley Sniper, they discovered fuel pick up had rubbish in it due to a 40 year old fuel tank. Fully cleaned and repaired.They kept me up to date with information as it was found. At my approval they rectified the works.My car left their workshop today, running better than it ever did. To diagnose faults on someone's project car, a car they had not even seen prior to the service let alone understanding the history of the build. Well I am impressed to say the least.When you build a project car, as I did, a simple tune can open up a can of worms. When you have someone like Rick and Terry going into it blind, and still come out on top.... Well thats a service anyone should be happy to pay for.Thanks FellasAzz

Rick is the only mechanic I use. Why? Cos he's fair. He doesn't see a woman with a car as a open cheque book. He's honest and responsible. His follow up is exceptional and his work has been top quality and never has been an issue with anything has touched. Honest upfront and quality work with a great and polite bunch of guys supporting him. Don't know why negative reviews are listed here, because I have not seen a single red flag from him or his business, and I've been looking for themI'm a woman and the most likely gender to be taken for a ride in this environment and he hasn't and he sure as hell could have. That says all you need to know.

CMR has done an excellent job cleaning up poor work of other workshops and getting my car back on the road. Achieved great power with 0 compromise to daily street drivability. Couldn't recommend these guys enough.
