Very switched on new psychologist Karen Gould has gone out of her way to coordinate my daughter’s complex functional seizure disorder.Karen has emailed my daughter’s neurologist, neurosurgeon and GP and recommended a new treatment specifically for non epileptic seizures which are notoriously hard to treat.This timely efficiency and commitment is what good medicine is all about.I can’t thank you enough Karen for your exceptional thoughtfulness.The best knowledge falls through the cracks of disciplines….I can’t wait for my daughter to start sessions with you.PS Also big thanks to Lise and front desk staff who are always SO professional, helpful and efficient. I went to Diverse Minds for my son to get psychotherapy (he's already getting speech therapy and OT), but they did a quick assessment of my child and then immediately recommended him to somewhere else for intense 40 hours a week ABA.They also said his neutral idiosyncrasies needed to be fixed" by ABA. What child with autism doesn't have idiosyncrasies? Should he just be completely wiped clean of all signs of autism so he can fit in neatly with the neurotypical society?Organisations like Aspect and Plumtree recognise that we're in a diverse society with lots of differences
