OB Carpentry

We have engaged Oliver on numerous jobs at our old Queenslander home in Bardon and he has done an amazing job. We first engaged Oliver to replace our front deck and he did such a great job that we then had him back to replace casement windows and a bigger job involving removing the back walls of our house and replacing with huge feature glass panels. Oliver is meticulous in his work and his carpentry skills are second to none. He is friendly, approachable and really listens to what you want, offering advice when you need it. Oliver is respectful of your home environment and takes pride in his work. We will definitely be using Oliver in the future as we continue work on our home and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

I have an 1890’s colonial cottage and engaged Oliver to remove an internal wall and install wide recycled bi-folding doors. Oliver was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. He is organized, thoughtful about his work, considerate, very tidy and does excellent carpentry work. All these qualities made this significant renovation easy and enjoyable. We were so impressed that we asked Oliver to come back and build large built in bookshelves into a new wall that also had to be reinforced to ensure the house was stable. Oliver was diligent about the structural integrity of this new wall and did great finishing details on the built-in bookshelf. An architect visited recently and was appropriately impressed with the finish Oliver achieved on this job. I can highly recommend Oliver for any building job.

Oliver was the last in a long line of builders and carpenters that we met with about building a deck in our courtyard. Thank goodness we found him! He was by far the easiest to talk to, and the quickest to understand what we wanted. We are so pleased with how the deck looks! Oliver did a fantastic job. Thank you Oliver!

I engaged Oliver to clad a new steel garage so that it blended in with our existing Post War home. It wasn't a straight forward job. Some carpenters wouldn't take the job on. He's re-stored our faith in the building industry after a shocking experience with a local builder. We were very happy with his work. He has excellent carpentry skills, not too mention roofing skills to boot. We found him to be very professional and thoughtful, even re-visiting prior to the job commencing just to be sure of a few aspects. I have used him again . I would highly recommend him.

OB did a super job on our kitchen and patio renovation. He extended the kitchen, added new period-correct windows, reused the old drawers with new fronts, created a beautiful new Laminex benchtop, did all the plumbing, and gave us the kitchen of our dreams, one which always gets favourable comment from people coming to the house for the first time. He turned the patio from a gloomy place into a light, bright, airy space that's been our refuge this past summer - turns out he's not just a great carpenter but an ace welder as well, restoring and repurposing some old railings that fitted the period of the house to replace the hideous glass pool barriers that were there before.OB is quick, efficient, inventive, with reasonable rates and very easy to work with. We would highly recommend him.

We selected OB Carpentry based on reviews and agree absolutely with all of the comments about the professionalism , the impressive organisation and the quality of workmanship.From the first contact to completion of the job, we have been very impressed with the way the work was planned and conducted. We had part of the exterior of our old workers cottage repaired, weather boards removed/replaced and new exterior doors installed and other carpentry repairs . Oliver did extensive post hail storm repairs for us in 2015. Oliver was experienced, efficient, a good communicator and the work was of high quality.
