The Podiatry Practice
I have been an Elouise client for several years and always find that the advice and service I receive is a considered and modern approach to all my podiatry issues. For girls who wear heels, both Elouise andEle approach the issue from a personal point of view which means you can have the best of both worlds. Great shoe products, they've made a real difference to my day to day motion.

14/9/2022. 3:40PM Appointment. Was seen by the lovely Chelsea Annat and she was friendly, professional and caring. Explained everything and reassured me during my appointment. You are in great hands when you book yourself to see the great Podiatrists at this practice. Will definitely come back for any and all podiatry needs.

I have had three visits at this clinic after an old injury to my foot caused by a cycling accident years ago started playing up again. I was quite satisfied with the quality of treatment, professionalism and expertise. All the staff are polite and efficient. If I need more treatment in the future I will definitely continue to use their services and would recommend this business.

I visited Anthony Short after one year of agonizing plantar fascia pain. I had previously tried everything from stretching to acupuncture. I couldn't put weight on my foot.. Anthony prescribed some custom orthotics and praise be after one year I can comfortably walk and run again! Life changer! Go to this man.

I have never seen a podiatrist before but I developed a sore toe over a weekend. I am a Type One Diabetic and was extremely panicked. I left a message to make an appointment on the website over the weekend. They called before their opening hours first thing Monday to secure an appointment for me that morning. Amazing service. Elouise was gentle and so very helpful. She fixed my toe and set my mind at ease.Thankyou so much!!!

I have been seeing my Podiatrist Mr. Anthony Short from the Podiatry Practice at Woolloongabba for about 5 years.I have Type 1 diabetes and my feet are very important to me. I have received excellent treatment and advicefrom Tony and I recommend his services highly.I travel from the Gold Coast to see him about once a year and it is easy to park in a special parking lot behind the clinic.I get the latest circulation and nerve damage checks as well as monitoring the numbness in my feet which is from so-called diabetic neuropathy and which is being kept at bay thanks to Tony. I believe he is one of the top Podiatrists in Brisbane and I value his service which is consistent and caring in a professional manner.I also have some gait" (walking) and "foot arch" issues which he also monitors and so far I have no need of orthotics.I happily recommend him to anyone who needs a good Podiatrist!"

DISAPPOINTED!!!Definitely won’t go back to this practice or see the podiatrist Anthony Short again – wrong diagnosis which meant I missed the window of opportunity for most effective treatment, a HUGE waste of money ($840) and energy! Here's more details:I went to see Anthony Short in March 2018 for pain under 2nd toe of my left foot.Session #1 ($70): chit chat and simply asked me to get some blood test done;Session #2 ($60): reviewed blood test results, said I had 'planter plate injury' and decided to make me a pair of orthoses;Session #3 ($650): fitted orthoses ($590) + consultation ($60) – he promised 'the pain will be gone in 6 weeks or less'. 8 weeks later, I was still in pain.So Session #4 ($60): went back for a 'review session' during which he 'tweaked' the orthoses and promised 'your pain will be gone in 2 weeks'. When I asked if I should have any scans done, he said 'no, you don't - because the scans are just going to confirm my diagnosis and will not change the way I treat you.'A month later, I was still in pain. So my GP sent me to do an X-ray and an ultrasound – turned out that I DON'T have 'planter plate injury' as Anthony Short repeatedly and confidently told me. Instead, I have 'pseodo-bursatitis'(completely different areas of foot)!!!Went to see another podiatrist (Nathan Eadie – highly recommend) in Oct 2018. He reviewed the scan results, examined me thoroughly and confirmed that I had 'pseodo-bursatitis'. And he said the expensive orthoses that Anthony Short gave me were NOT HELPING at all – no wonder my pain never got better!!! Nathan suggested a simple, affordable ($10) and effective taping technique, which reduced my pain a week after I saw him.As I’m writing this in Dec 2018, my foot is still not 100% - as I have missed the window of opportunity for most effective treatment (which is first few weeks following the onset of pain). I can’t walk/stand on my feet without pain. Now I have to have an ultrasound-guided cortisone injection ($200 out of pocket/after Medicare rebate) because the bursa is too inflamed. :(Very disappointed in Anthony Short’s diagnosis & treatment. What a waste of money and energy.

These guys are fantastic. Very knowledgeable, explained everything well, and made me the best orthotics I've ever had!
