I bought a kitten & he was very sick that same night. Later to find out he has Coccidia oocysts a highly contagious parasite. He became very ill & had chronic bloody diarrhea & vomiting, he stopped eating & became fatigued. My vet said it has a 13 day incubation period. The kitten has now been diagnosed with ringworm too. The Campbelltown pound are more interested in taking no responsibility: their preferred resolution for the sick baby was to take him back to them. I did a 5-6 hour round trip $70 in fuel & $30 in toll roads plus $250 to purchase the kitten it was not feasible to go back, he was too sick at that time.I've spent $500 at my vet so far. I will take them to Fair Trading Tribunal as signing waivers at purchase does not absolve them from a duty of care to sell fit & well animals. ALWAYS REFER TO CONSUMER LAW ABOUT BUYING PETS. DO NOT BUY A KITTEN FROM THEM AT THIS PRESENT TIME (Feb 2023)The kitten has had to endure horrible treatment for Coccidia & I've been worried sick, kitty has been very, very unwell.Staff deflected blame & fobbed me off referring to their waiver. ROTTEN EXPERIENCE but I kept the kitten as I did not trust them to do the right thing by him... with their attitude. From Michele in the Central Coast of NSW.

Very unhappy with the experience and professionalism of the staff. Had to take my dog to meet the puppy. Apparently a meet and greet here is through a fence with both dogs at different height levels. That is not a good way for dogs to meet and obviously the one lower isn’t going to like being stood over by a new dog. Very disappointed with the experience.

Found a dog wandering on main road. Quite happy to get in my car. The dog didn't belong to a walker near by. Took immediately to CACF where the staff scanned and found it was microchipped. Contacted owners as I was leaving.

The facility is clean the folk who work here have big hearts for these dear homeless animals. I found the staff friendly and caring eager to help.I fell in love with my kitty from a photo the facility posted online. Her name was Quinn she was 10 weeks old. We call her Emmeline. She is the sweetest lil girl very healthy and I love her so much.We just lost our adorable kitty we had for 17 years. So she fills the need in our hearts for a furry companion. And we are happy to give her a home.

We called at 3.15pm to tell them we were on the way to adopt a kitten. We would have been there at least 20 minutes before close. They told us not to come, obviously not wanting to do any more work for the day. Priorites.... I'm guessing more kittens get put down at this place than necessary.

Found the most timid little 10 month old un-microchip staffyX, who arrived a day before I visited. We left an expression of interest and once she had done her mandatory 7 days stay we came back to visit her. On our meet and greet she was so shy and scared but extremely fond of her carer, who told us she is very cuddly and clingy as soon as she gets to know you... we trusted the carer and signed the adoption papers that day (March 30 2020), picked her up on the 2nd and couldn't imagine our life without her now (6kgs heavier). The staff were all extremely friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and generous with their time and the facility is clean, spacious and calm. I would highly recommend visiting the beautiful doggies at this shelter.

A lot different from several years ago when I adopted a young dog from the shelter. The meet and greet to adopt another dog started with being given a bag of dog treats that had the consistency of powder. I did bring my own treats but forgot them in the car.No treats, no positive encouragement from staff. Very intimidating for the 2 dogs and myself. The encounter was very rushed and seemed like staff were not serious in considering letting me adopt the dog. It was somehow good to put the potential adopted dog into some kind of enclosed fencing on unlevel ground with my dog standing much lower. My dog didn't feel comfortable getting upset. Making noises, They tried a bit more on level ground. The dogs needed a little time out but none was given. The potentialadopted dog turned away. I was told he was uncomfortable then meet and greet was ended only after a couple of minutes. My dog is 8 years old and has played with many other dogs, been on hundreds of walks and outings. Played with 4 month old puppies. Most of their dog adverts say no other dogs or young children. I don't know what this animal shelter is doing. It was a strange experience. Seeming not fair and very personal bias.I will be purchasing a young puppy elsewhere from now on. I never want to go through that again. I thought I would adopt a dog in need but not from Campbelltown Shelter. I hope the dog finds a nice home instead of being put down.

I wish I could give more stars! Every single person we have dealt with here is simply amazing! Special thanks to April who has matches us with 2 of the most wonderful and loving dogs! You can see how much they all care for the animals here and they do their best to make their time at the facility as pleasant as possible. If you apply for a dog here but you get a different recommendation from the staff, please listen to them because they know what they are thanking about and how to match you to your soul animal the best way possible ❤️

Went to meet a new friend for our girl after loosing her best mate. Was treated like idiots. Saw them exciting pups before bringing out! Allowed pup to jump all over mine then got angry when she warned at their pup to get off. Honestly useless, no wonder they are so full!
