Austin Lara Sales Office (Latitude Real Estate)

Lying cowboys who promise the world to get a sale but can't get land to title. The worst part is that they refuse to take responsibility and blame everyone else. Just spend the money and comply to the regulations like everyone else and stop selling land until you can get your house in order. Look elsewhere and don't waste your hard earned money, especially if you are a first home owner who actually wants to live in the home. Disgraceful!

The most disgusting/ unprofessional/ lying individuals. I purchased Jan 2020 and was told titles expected end of year so make sure you get your builder sorted. Toward the end of the year we were told May 2021 now.... okay..... Got no contact at all until the expected title date came and went. Now it's Sept 2021, and I won't see a land title this year. They still have drainage compliance issues with council and have been told... titles are still expected this year... This has been the most disappointing and appalling experience. I have lost approximately 10k in bills I will have to pay to the builder to retain price. I was told by Austin when these title dates were hence why I sorted contracts. I am now stuck waiting with no home.

If you want purchase at Austin Lara, then don't. The development is so far behind it seriously a joke.Our block and like everyone else who has purchased land there has been hit delays, and more delays. The developer blames the council apperantly, the council make no comment......the company building the development have more days off than days on. Every person has suffered financial penalties because of the developers incompetence...

Bought my block of land in OCTOBER 2018- told it would title December 2019 and I’m STILL WAITING!! It’s almost 2022- by the time my husband and I get into our new home, if we ever do, it will be well over a 4 year wait. Disgraceful.Communication is non-existent. When we do have communication one person says one thing and another says something completely different. I have no idea when my block will title. My conveyancer has no idea when my block will title.How they can still sell blocks when they don’t even have council approvals is beyond disgusting.DO NOT PURCHASE HERE!!

Absolutely disgraceful communication. Purchased land 2018 still no title. False promises of title dates advised to lock in builders and finance only to now be paying fees to my builder because price lock time has passed. Quick to criticise other developers to deflect from them myself. Playing with peoples lives and still sleep at night without absolutely no regard to the trauma they have caused others. They might be selling land but all work has been halted due to agreements not being in place to enable works to continue.

Chris & Yasmin were very helpful and spent a lot of time with me, helping me understand the process of buying land and eventually building our first home. It's a lot to take in for a first time buyer and it is so nice to meet wonderful people who care. A great place to live and call home. Thank you Chris & Yasmin you both are wonderful!

BUYER BEWARE. DO NOT BUY AT AUSTIN LARA. Sales Man does some great sweet talking, it’s his job. Brought land 1.5yrs ago with promises of title June 2021. No communication from developer/estate ever. Only learn about further pushbacks from my building company, conveyancer and mortgage broker. Now paying thousands in fees to keep our builder contract - with no title in sight. My builder just told me, MAYBE for a title in June 2022. They continue to sell land and can only manage to title one stage. They have issues with the developer on shared land next door - they literally are selling land that they are not allowed to title at this point - storm water drainage issues, you name it. Do yourselves a favour and research before you buy, be ready to wait upwards of 3-4yrs to build. The positive reviews that are left here are from new buyers who have been sweet talked.

We Purchased in 2019, Titles are a little delayed although unlike some others we done our due-diligence and used a local Geelong Lawyer who advised us to sign our build contracts once civil works started. Chris has been great always returning our calls and emails and we are very excited to start building our dream home at Austin and everything they have advised us is slowly coming true....

Austin Land (with its affiliates), would have to be the most incompetent organisation I have ever had dealings with. There are constant issues and delays with the development, one after another, ie. Stormwater drainage agreements, council delays etc. Always it is someone else at fault, there is never any acknowledgement from the developer themselves. I honestly feel they don't have a clue what they are doing and have fumbled their way through the whole process to date (fumbling is a complement), with next to no proper planning and forethought. The monthly construction updates are generic and usually offer you a glimmer of optimism, which is inevitably dashed like a sharp dagger when they don't come to fruition. Their team rarely responds to enquiries regarding the hard questions unless they are sales-related. To put it into context, Coridale started selling land up the road 2 years after Austin and titled land before them. Rival estates don't seem to encounter the same issues Austin do (warning bells!!!) These people have wreaked financial and emotional havoc on many peoples lives and taken next to no accountability for it. How they can conscientiously continue to sell land to people by selling optimism, making false promises and painting over the debacle to date is incomprehendable, bordering on criminal. If you are looking to buy land in Lara I implore you to seek out all alternative options before you buy with Austin!!

We have just purchased land at the Austin estate in Lara. The sales representatives - Chris and Yasmin - were both always available on the phone (and I called many times!), and were very forthcoming with help, support and information over the course of several months.I especially appreciated being granted 'early access' to the subdivisions, so that we could assess whether there was a suitable block for us, well in advance of the sale date.Our experience with Chris and Yasmin and with Austin/Latitude RE in general has been really positive and we look forward to our continued relationship. Having had some experience and communication with both of the other nearby estates in Lara, I can honestly say that Austin RE runs rings around the others in terms of customer service and accessibility (and ease of purchase of land).
