I've been coming the McGaines for over 12 months. The food has always been good however this time the staff were extremely rude after our order was incorrect. They kept laughing about it and were extremely unhelpful. Will not be going back there.

Impressive! Next time you make the journey down the Great Ocean Road, please stop in at McGain's Nursery Cafe. I had no hesitation giving this quaint cafe a solid 5 stars. This beautifully peaceful location is a great spot to relax, enjoy good food, great coffee and appreciate the natural plants and decor around you. We will be making this a regular stop with every future visit to Anglesea.Make sure you check ahead for open times, as we noticed they are closed on many days during the winter months. We were lucky it was open when we visited! The cafe closes early at 3pm in the afternoon.

Great place but be aware that as of January the cafe is closed with no clear re-opening date - new owners. (Went there today hoping for lunch.)Can’t understand why they’d close in peak season and hope the wonderful staff still have their jobs. Store and nursery still open.

Best food ever. The staff were so friendly and kind even when I accidentally ordered the wrong thing. Amazing gluten free options also! Would definitely recommend.

Away from traffic and road noise and does not have a view of cars. Visually one of the nicer spots to have coffee. Food is good and staff are friendly.

Beautiful decor and stunningly presented food, the cafe is tucked away in a very pretty nursery. Staff were friendly and the food was to die for! As delicious as it looks, the smashed avo was definitely a great choice.

Incredible breakfast spot!! Infact the McGain's crew produced one of the best breakfast meals I've ever had.Tip:Fresh juices are a taste sensation.You should definitely try the Smashed Avocado with beetroot, merideth goats cheese & pumpkin brioche with some poached eggs.

Great coffee but staff rude, twice now have been told no service , first time went to order coffee and went out into nursery to get family looking at clematis .. back in , sorry to late! Take 2:ordered coffee , she is making it , 30 seconds later my 3 x 50+ yr old mates arrived behind me on my recommendation, sorry no more coffees, asked for my $5 back , don't want to drink alone at table. Bit poor ............. recommendation tarnished
