They don't accept private insurance card and charge way higher than mbs fees I paid $123 and only $30 approved by my insurance, but when I visited other pathology in my area they always accept private insurance and no out of pocket.So for students don't visit here thanks

I have been here a few times now and will not go back. Poor communication, abrupt, lack of manners and intolerance to children - ALL staff. Had to take my two year old with me today - complete lack of understanding that he wouldn’t sit still on a chair. Plenty of other pathology services in the area so no need for customers to tolerate bad service! Note if you need regular bloods they take your referral off you which means you can’t go elsewhere. At other pathology services they take a photocopy so you can keep the original and go where you want for your next service.

Waited over 1 hour to get my blood test done with only ONE person in front of me in the queue. The staff is not friendly at all and it feels like they are not happy to be working there. I won't come back to Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology ever again.

Omg! The waiting time is a joke. Seriously. Almost 2h waiting to get a blood test done. Joke!

Had to wait for 2 hours fasting, standing in the sun to get simple blood test. Ridiculous. How is there continually bad wait times at every single Douglas hanly moir. You should allow people to book appointments online. It’s really not that hard. It’s 2022.

Do not go there fasting in the morning without an appointment, the wait is close to 2hrs. Severely understaffed for mornings.

Great nurse who took my blood, terrible receptionist who could not understand English well. Receptionist didn’t listen to walk-ins who, those who walked in first - had to wait and go AFTER those who came later because receptionist didn’t use the number system properly.Place is cramped, humid and terrible in the lobby despite the rest of the building being renovated. Receptionist again did not turn on the AC and wanted to make us all suffer for the sake of it. If you get a chance, there are better places than this.When I walked in, all the patients who were waiting in line were all antsy, irritated and annoyed arguing with each other. I can only imagine how long they had to wait - and in such an environment - before becoming like that.

They must be severely understaffed. I have been trying to call them for the past 3 days. I have tried to call over 10 times per day. I have tried other locations nearby and no answer either. No one answers the phone, you can't make a booking online, you can't leave a message.

Shocking place. They make no allowance for the large number of people who come early, most then have to stay outside, completely exposed to elements, especially the hot morning sun. Service is slow and there are is not enough staff to cope. On top, people wait, in a fasting state and dehydrating in that heat and the place does not provide water to keep people hydrated, even though it makes tons of money from every referral.

Seriously don't understand the bad reviews, the nurses are kind, the service is fast. It's the only pathology place that takes your blood test via email, they will print it for you and they give a mask to everyone that comes on.Compared to the other places in the city that are slow, not opened all day, and turn you around if you don't a printed prescription (they make you go to an Office Works to print yourself), this one in Maroubra is just 5 stars.
