Our dog had a 10 night sleep over while we were away, $28 a day. Came home clean and obviously missing her new friends but she remembers us now. Definitely recommend these guys, they are animal lovers after all.

Is there anything positive to say about our experience with YAPS, No there isn't. After having our dog stay with these guys for 3 weeks, she arrived to us without her collars and lead. It took almost 3 weeks to get her collars back but our Black dog lead was not returned and they took no responsibility for it.Each conversation with Yaps was met with a hostile worker who always seemed irriated with her responses which made us question how our pup was being treated. Our girl came back underweight and very anxious and we hope it was due to travel to us and not the treatment during her stay but I would most definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

I volunteer dog walking and help fundraise. YAPS is a place where unwanted, abused/pound dogs/cats or surrendered dogs/cats can stay until they are adopted. A great place to visit and just get some kitty and puppy love if you cannot adopt. Also foster carers needed for pregnant dogs and cats. It is a place filled with love and the staff reflect that.

We adopted our dog from here and have used Yaps for boarding for our previous little guy. Great company that does amazing work

Rip off, Useless, appauling excuse for a business that claims to look after animals. They only pretend to be nice to the animals and the humans that entrust their fur babies to them. Never again. And dont say that you dont know anyone with this name. No one in their right mind would use their real name for fear that you would smash them and rip them off again and again.

Wendy and Debbie were the best to deal with had us sorted with our new adopted 20 month old pup Lace. She is perfect thanks team.

Such wonderful and beautiful crew here (both volunteers and staff), such a pleasure to work with.Such a shame so many dogs are needing care for.Donate what you can to this place, you never know what you may deem as rubbish (and give to the cairns council buy back shop) what this shelter may appreciate.
