This is my updated review from March 2020Matty and Tim have taken over from Wayne Stocker at Moresby Auto Services. Wayne has retired after many years running this very successful automotive service and repair company. They service everything from trucks, to farm equipment, to 4wd's, to the family car and everything in between. I hope that Matt and Tim can fill the very large shoes left behind by Wayne Stocker and that they can retain the very loyal customer base Wayne built over all those years. The new boys certainly come with a great heritage and impressive history. Matty was previously the workshop manager for Nissan and has also managed a large farm, so has a good experience with a wide range of equipment. Good luck to them and come and give them a try when you need some new tyres or a service or repair and let us all know here how they performed. I am sure they will do great.This was my original review from February 2020.Best mechanic in Queensland. We broke down in our truck motorhome near Moresby Auto Services and Wayne was so helpful. He dropped everything to help us and his mechanical skills, knowledge and professional manner are first class and cannot be faulted. He has been doing his job for 50 years and his advice and the quality of his work was first class. He even let us stay in our motorhome in his yard while the work was done over 2 days, as we had no where else to stay. Be warned, he is always very busy and we understand this is because of the high quality of his work and most of the locals all return to him. This may mean you have to be a bit patient but the wait will be worth it. In our experience, Wayne does what he says he is going to do and is very reliable. Very happy with Wayne and this company.

Our caravan broke a bolt on the rear axle on Sunday afternoon, just before El Arish.Matthew from Moresby Auto Services was driving past, not only did he pull over to make sure we were OK, he said that he'd be able to work on the van the very next day (Monday)!What an absolute God send. Got it towed there Monday morning, it was dropped off at 10 and he had it ready by 5pm.Very thorough in his analysis, checked all our major components, rang me during the day to update me... I cannot sing their praises high enough!Reasonable priced, excellent service, and fitting us in with their pre booked work.. Absolute legends!

Had a mishap with a trailer axle, while travelling, contacted Wayne at 7am, told he’ll be here at 8.30, rang them at 9.30..... to be told there just leaving now, arrive at 10am..... directly told ‘I’m not repairing it in the rain’ ......... calls back at 11.30 to say he’s not doing it, but have passed on my number to someone who’ll be calling imminently........ no call a full hour later.......... call them and phone rings out...... are they monitoring for my number and didn’t answer? .......... what I know with certainty is that the hard jobs seem to be to hard for Moresby Autos....... even if it means letting a traveller down who is desperately trying to get mobile........ found someone else, but the job wasn’t in there hands until 2.30pm...... which meant another day lost......

Moresby auto service is a good honest machnic . I would recommend going there for your car. It is rare to get good service from a machnic around innisfail. Very good to see. I was impressed with the service.

Do not take your car here. They charged us $90 to ‘clean a fuel filter’ - we later learned that this isn’t something that can be done, a fuel filter can’t actually be cleaned it just needs to be changed, which is what we specifically asked for when we took it in. We got conned, don’t let the same happen to you.Also the woman on reception was extremely rude. 0/5 if it was possible.

Always do a great job , take good care of your car , and great friendly staff .Highly recommended
