Best dance school in the area if you're looking for a range of genres! This school will nurture your child's strengths regardless of whether it's ballet, acrobatics/flex, singing, tap, anything... this school is for everyone and a great option for young kids too who are still exploring their interests! My daughter is now one of the most senior students and she has tried a couple of dance schools so we know what to look for. This school can be recreational or help your child progress a career in the industry, it's the perfect balance! Most dance schools are either one way or the other (very recreational to the point they don't learn any real skills or show any talent or very competitive, which can be a great thing, but most children won't be cut out for that type of discipline).

Professional teachers with excellent experience and knowledge. Broad variety of styles offered, all to a very high level. Care for the student's future - whether they dance for fun or are looking to pursue dance as a career - they will help the student towards their goal.

I have two daughters who have been part of this school for three years now and I can vouch that Miss Tamara and her team of staff are so encouraging and inclusive with children of all ages and abilities. At ADV students develop technique while having so much fun along the way. Every opportunity is offered to students who wish to pursue dance as a career path and this year three ADV students were accepted into VCASS!!

My daughter moved from a famous dancing school when she was grade two in Primary school. She would tell me she wasn't feeling well to skip dance classes. Now she's been with ADV for more than 5 years, she has found her passion, friends, discipline and other life experience from there - teachers, peer classmates or even those much younger than her. I enjoy the journey to see her becomes a confident teenage which ADV plays a big role. Now she would ask me to still take her to the classes to watch when she's really unwell in case she misses something. :-)

We didn’t have the best time once Tamara started teaching my daughter’s class. She just didn’t have the skills to teach a crying child and basically told us to watch outside behind the glass window.We are also still currently waiting for a refund after incessantly chasing her up for it.

Love the dance school and all its teacheers there. My daughter continues to developing technique and loves the friendly classes. She's made so many friends and her confidence continues to grow. Highly recommended the school

Academy of Dance Victoria is a great dance school with encouraging, inspirational, professional and experienced teachers, and friendly students and families. There are wonderful opportunities for students of all skill levels. ADV has been a 2nd home to my two daughters for the past 7 years. A place where they feel safe, supported and valued. My girls have been provided with quality training which has prepared them for ballet exams, solo and troupe competitions and auditions with exceptional results. I see daily how much joy ADV brings to my girls!

My daughter joined ADV 2 years ago when she was 3 years old. She loves dancing and performing and under the training and guidance of Tamara and her ADV teachers, her skills have blossomed. ADV are equipped to nurture talent and they have given her the opportunity to develop her passion through solo coaching and team competition/extension training. The teachers are highly experienced, engaging and caring. They foster a professional, fun, positive learning environment for recreational dancers as well as competition/performance dancers.
