Rated 5* for a reason. Always a pleasure dealing with Billy at South Melbourne Mechanics. I was first referred to him in 2008 before Google Reviews were a thing and have gone back to him ever since with most recent in March 2022. Very easy to deal with and you can be assured he wont stuff you around like some other workshops can do.

Just wanted to add to all the 5 star reviews on here! Billy was incredible at helping us service and sort out all our car troubles. Great communication and service, especially after having a horrible time at the south melbourne hyundai service centre. Will definitely return to him and so glad we found him!

Billy is honest, helpful, friendly and most importantly doesn’t rip you off (even when you know nothing about cars, like me).Even though I have moved from the area, I still come back to Billy for every car service.

My car runs very low of coolant. Did it quick drive in and get it refilled in a sec by Friendly and patient staff member Will with $0 charge, even 5 mins before closing on Friday. We do not get this kind of top service with other places nowadays. Highly recommend.

Without a doubt the best mechanic I have EVER been too. I broke down in South Melbourne, and by a miraculous turn of events, stumbled upon Billy. He helped me out, despite being full for the day. The car was fixed, spark plugs replaced, spare part ordered, all by 4pm that day - and for a reasonable price. I’ve been recommending him to everyone at work ever since — all of which have had an equally awesome experience. If I could give 500 stars I would.

Where do I start...I've been using (and recommending) Billy to family and friends for over 15 years.We live across town but I still take our cars here because of the great service we always receive. Billy still shows me the parts he replaced and will never sell you anything you don't need.Having had poor experiences with official stealerships" in the past

Just had our car serviced by Billy for the first time and couldn't be happier! I chose him based on all the positive reviews on here and he did not disappoint. He is friendly, honest, reliable and very reasonably priced. So glad to have found such a great mechanic so close to us. Highly recommend!

Love Billy! He is awesome, honest and that's what you want from your mechanic. I literally take about 4 cars to him because I know he doesn't rip people who know nothing about cars off.
