If it weren't for the warranty, i would NEVER have returned to this place. Im so happy that the warranty is now finished.Theres a total lack of customer service and.i always feel like im being cross sold an unnecessary part or service.When they sell you a car, you're the most important person and when it comes to servicing the car, you end up paying more then anyone should and the service is below average at best. How hard is it to smile and create rapport?I always felt like when the mechanic finished the work, the mechanic looked uncomfortable telling the service person about the extra charges on my bill. It always seemed like the mechanics had to meet a target.Even if i were to install genuine parts myself and install it, it would always be cheaper than what i end up paying with services like these places.If i could mark lower then 1 star, i would!

Poor customer service and outrageous service prices. I was charged almost 3x the amount for a regular service as compared to Kelly Holden in Cardiff. Highly recommend Kelly Holden in Cardiff instead

From the time i stepped into Holden's used car section my husband and i were treated in a friendly businesslike manner. I knew what i was looking for and they had the car available. The salesman was not pushy and it was a pleasant experience from viewing cars to purchase. The price was competitive. Over the years i have purchased over 30 vehicles and have always negotiated hard for a great deal. What I loved about Newcastle City Holden, where i have purchased my last 2 cars is that they keep their pencil sharp and give the best price first time. On top of that they provide exceptional service, well above expectations.

Took my car here to have an oil pressure sensor replaced. It’s a pretty straight forward job and would only take 30 minutes to a hour to complete. Charged $400 just for labour which is outrageous. Would not recommend taking your vehicle here if you don’t want to get ripped off.

Booked our car in at 10am with a 4pm pick up and was ready on time , courtesy cab to kotara shops is nice, and we find our own way back to pick up, staff are Ok.

I purchased a second hand vehicle from Newcastle City Holden. As I live in Port Macquarie, I checked whether I could get my car serviced and get any warranty repairs done up my way without voiding the warranty. I was assured by both the salesman and the finance manager that they had dealerships everywhere and it wouldn't be an issue. The finance manager was to call me back and advise me which dealership to use. As I didn't hear from him I chased him up, only to be told they had no dealerships up here. I told him that I wouldn't have bought the car if I had known that - I wasn't going to do a 5 hour round trip every time it needed servicing - and then he dared to offer me an extended warranty for $1,695 that would do the job. Obviously I said no. I then phoned back and asked to speak to the Principal - his assistant was very nice, but to date the Principal hasn't bothered to phone me back. As well, when I went to pick up the car it hadn't been detailed - sticker residue everywhere and something odd sprayed up the sides, so I had to wait until they cleaned all that off. There was a sticker on the windscreen stating that it had just been serviced, yet on the way home I detected a distinct exhaust rattle. Their care factor is a fat zero - my impression of this dealership? Also a fat zero. Snap!
