Carpet Call Osborne Park
Ran in from the rain pouring down with a short time to buy 2 large carpet mats. I didn’t have confidence that it could be done until Caleb finished with an indecisive customer and came over to help. Well I was wrong. Caleb went above and beyond to help even when one of the mats had to come from another branch south of the river. He even picked it up on his day off. Well done Caleb and thank you so much.

Deceptive and misleading behavior, very rude store manager. Were told we had to remove all of our skirting boards to have 5 new rooms of carpeting installed. Quoted to remove all old carpet grippers from under skirting and replace with new in a new location to prevent the need for skirting being removed for any future carpet replacement.Removed all skirting only to find the installers had not been instructed to remove old carpet grippers from under skirting location and relocate/install new grippers to facilitate future carpet removal. Was not on their job sheet.Said they were not being paid to do that even though that was what was quoted. Told us it would be at least a whole days work for 2 people and they weren't doing it.Called the manager and got abused over the phone for contacting him while he was on holiday (did not know he was on holiday), hung up on us. We were held to ransom with furniture moved everywhere for the carpet install and had to proceed. Carpet was installed in same configuration as before and skirtings went back in exactly the same position as before. Installers told us there was no problem removing the carpet in future with the skirtings in the same spot. We then asked why we had to remove all the 120 meters of skirting in 5 rooms, repair patch walls, repair skirting and reinstall if they could remove and replace carpet in future. We queried why we had not got what we paid for in the removal of old grippers and reinstalling new in a configuration that supported future carpet removal. We were offered a $270 discount on the $12000 bill for 2 contractors labour for at least one day plus materials for removing old grippers, reinstalling new. A complete slap in the face. Further we had later some existing old carpet in another room stretched by another contractor with the old carpet untucked, stretched and retucked and re-attached to grippers without removing skirts. Very deceptive behaviours and we did not get what we paid for. We spent around $3000 on skirting that we did not need to do and believe that Carpet Call never intended to do what they quoted in relocating grippers for future carpet install.Before install I tried to remove the old grippers nailed in the concrete floor, it was very time consuming work with wrecking bars, claw hammer and chisels. Concrete was very hard and did not accept new concrete nails. No wonder they did not want to do what they quoted as it would have been very difficult to do. We just made their job easier by removing all the skirting.I also removed sample sections of old carpet with the skirting installed before they did the work. The carpet came away easily.Wrote a long letter with details and photos to the Area Manager. Basic response was to pound sand and we could get $270 back which appears to be just for the gripper materials notwithstanding probably 20 hrs of labour that was not expended and the thousands we spent on skirting removal, repairs to wall and old skirting, reinstallation and painting.Going to make a claim in court.

Walked into your shop today and was greeted warmly by a salesman named Caleb, he was very attentive and sold us some carpets.We actually were enquiring but he made us feel comfortable and gave us the right suggestions and we ended up purchasing as the prices suited our budget.Caleb,Thank you very much for the great service.We will definitely recommend your store to others.Well done!Liz Gow

We had booked a estimator to attend to our apartment the week before and waited over 30 minutes. No Show!!! Finally we called the store only to speak with the person we were to meet and his response was he did not know about the booking. The person that had made the booking was not in. Not our problem! We would have thought that there would have been a handover or similar to let the estimator know. Obviously they did not want the business. The day we attended the store, we were the only ones there. Maybe that was a indication We found the service, response and attitude appalling. Would not recommend this store.

Called to get a measure and quote as they had just done my folks house. Was literally going to be a walk up sale for them. Proposed a time to meet as I had a furniture stylist and painter attending at the same time to quote the property. Shane proceeded to tell me multiple times they don’t want to hang around while I talk to other trades. He tried to propose a new time. I tried to speak about 8 times which every time I ride to speak he just started speaking again. Firstly I was going to say I won’t be talking to the stylist and painter as they do regular work for me so will just come and do their quote, I won’t need to talk to them so I won’t be wasting his time. I was then also trying to say that the alternative time he was proposing did not work for me. Literally couldn’t get a sentence out. When I finally did get a sentence out I just said thanks mate it’s all good I will call an alternative carpet company. The phone finally went silent, shame he wasn’t silent for the 60 seconds beforehand so I could just book a simple appointment. Was bizarre.

I share my experience to help others.If you want a reliable service DON'T choose them.Maybe buy a rug from Carpet Call, but nothing else because they may damage your property and they won't take responsibility for it.We made a home renovation.When we planned the works one employee from Carpet Call (Chris) told us The floor installation is the last thing when you do a home reno."Our freshly painted walls are full of black marksin every room after laminate flooring installation.I called them

Gentleman that came to give us a quote did not provide a written quote. After phoning him and asking for a quote on a cheaper item he lost interest in helping us and we are still waiting on a response. Very poor customer service. . Does this shop want new business?
