Clearly Dental South Melbourne (Formerly Freedom Dental)

My experience with them after 4 years is amazing. I was a bit apprehensive about going to them after seeing these flurry of bad reviews. But then again, not every situation or customers are the same.Very pleasant support staff and those front desk customer service were welcoming as always.

I have been going to this dentistry for the last 5 years when it was known as freedom dental, around 7 months ago I had dental bonding done on my front tooth and all was good. I was told I have a 12 month warranty with the filling that was done and if there was any repairs or complications that needed to be done during that period it would be covered and free of charge. The filling chipped while I was eating something quite soft so I made an appointment to get the filling repaired (as is was still under my warrantee period it should have been free to fix the chip) Since my last visit it seems the business has been bought out by Clearly Dental and no longer goes by the name Freedom Dental. I had the tooth repaired and the charged me full price for it. Not happy at all, I was told I had a 12 month warranty when the filling was done 7 months ago yet I was charged for the price of a brand new filling.

I recently had a clean with Debbie and fillings with Dr James. As a nervous patient, I am usually hesitant about going to the dentist but my experience was great. I felt very safe in their hands! I didn't feel a thing, and the treatment was over before I knew it.

Just went for my first dental treatment in a long time. Dr. James Lailah was very informative and meticulous, the whole process was also painless. So happy with the treatment and will recommend Clearly Dental to everyone..

The reception team are so helpful and supportive, I've always had a fear of the dentist but they put me at ease when reassuring me that Dr Shivani will be able to cater to my needs when in the chair. Having Dr Shivani as my dentist has given me a new outlook on going to the dentist. Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to leave you with some feedback on your service and clinic. As a long term patient that has spent over $6,000 at your clinic, I have never been so frustrated and upset with a business like I am with Freedom Dental. I have found the practice to be highly unprofessional and time wasters. For many months now the reception team have allowed me to play messenger between trying to get in contact with managers and doctors etc. Must I remind them, it is their job to connect customers with the business, not send customers on wild phone call chases. I am actually quite happy that my treatment will no longer be continued at Freedom Dental after the lack of care from everyone at the clinic. I will not be recommending your services to anyone again. I have asked to speak to a manager a number of times because reception never have any idea of what is going on, they promise to have a manager call me as they are never in and I am continuously lied to and let down as I never receive the phone call. I have spent a lot of money in your clinic and all you have done is waste my time. Invisalign is not something that should but mucked around and delayed. I was told to stay with Freedom Dental, waited 2 months to be told they cannot continue my case with no communication and I now will have to wait however long for another case transfer.

I went for a check-up and clean last week, everything was perfect starting from the front desk all the way to the dentist and the assistant. Looking forward to go back again.

I chose Freedom a few years ago for their reputation with patients with dental anxiety. Staff, Dentist, Nurses, and office space were all perfect for someone with dental anxiety, and my previous experiences were positive.Things have changed.I attended for treatment today, was in pain and visibly anxious. Dentist was not ideal for someone who requires a gentle approach. He wasn’t great at listening or reassurance and I regret not leaving before I sat in the big chair. It was an upsetting and unpleasant experience and I won’t be back. Would not recommend.

We've been loyal patients of the clinic since 2013 when they were Freedom Dental, and we've experienced nothing but the best from everyone working there now.We're grateful to be in good hands, especially with Dr James Lailah, Izzy, Connie, Kat and the rest of the team at Clearly Dental.
