Robson Brothers 4WD Service & Repair

Had a new gearbox and clutch fitted to my Landcruiser 76 about 12 months ago. Absolutely no issues at all and very impressed with their workmanship and attention to detail. Thanks Craig and the Robson Brothers 4WD team.

I don’t even know where to start. I don’t really write any bad reviews, but my experience was absolutely horrible. When I initially came in for my first service that I booked in a month in advance they had absolutely no record of the appointment. After a large discussion (I needed the service done before a holiday), they decided to fit in the swivel hun overhaul and service that I initially booked. Shortly after, the swivel started leaking again, so I brought in my car to have it checked. Robson brothers did not want to take any accountability for the leak and instead blamed it on an apparent dent on the front diff housing. When I asked why this wasn’t picked up on at the time when the hubs were replaced they just said that this is not something they would check. They quoted me $2,800 on top of the initial fees that I paid (well over $1,000). When I got a second opinion, I was advised that the axel seals were still leaking either because they were not installed properly OR NEVER DONE! The new mechanic also confirmed that there was no bent in the diff housing. Surprise surprise after getting the issue fixed by a different mechanic - 3 months later the swivel hubs are still not leaking. Please do not waste your time with them!

Thorough workmanship. They are hesitant to quote which initially put me off making a booking. In my case the completed work came in close to their cost estimate for a varied list of maintenance, repairs and component installations.

I am so impressed with the way they went about everything, In Particular Craig with keeping me in the loop with everything that was happening. The were able to troubleshoot an electrical issue and fix it with minimal labour time for my Prado 120 series. Even sourcing parts was very fast!I will take my 4wd's here from now on and recommend to anyone who is seeking a mechanic !

Absolute bloody legends. Recently had an engine oil light issue for my GU Y61. Took it to 2 Nissan dealers and after going through the expensive diagnosis and they still had no idea how to fix the issue. Found Robson bros through 4x4 forums and manage to book my car in (was a bit of a wait as they were getting hammered with bookings). They even had a Nissan guy" in their team who knew about the issue straight away. They were professional

Toby and the team worked tirelessly to remove an aluminium box from the rear of our motor home after we had failed an inspection for licensing. We rang them to ask if they could do it for us and Toby said to drop in they would check it. Removing the bolts was easy, but then the glue was a challenge, but they were successful.
