I have been a tenant of Your Estate for over a year now. Nicky and her team are prompt with email responses, any questions asked.I remember after moving into my place, there was a massive storm, i needed some maintenance done to with window by my dinning table. After sending off a maintenance request, i received a response within the same day. Nicky and her team kept me in the loop of correspondence with the owner and that they are waiting for approval, And the same week a trades person came and fixed what needed to be done.I highly recommend Nicky and her team at Your Estates.

Part 2: Continuing from Fun Chen’s review.After the initial teething problems were settled within the first few months of moving in, we could finally live in peace, for the most part of our 2-year stay. But it was when we vacated the property that Nicky’s vindictiveness showed. It felt like she held onto her disgruntlement of us when we first moved into the property for bringing up issues and deemed us as nuisance tenants. When it came to the exit inspection, she nit-picked on all the minor flaws like dents and scuff marks on the walls and areas of patched-up paintwork that were already there before our tenancy and all of which would easily be considered as fair wear and tear. I made thorough notes of these damages on my copy of the entry condition report upon the commencement of my tenancy but Nicky failed to note any of these. It is worth mentioning the lack of detailed notes she made on the report with regards to the condition of property. I would consider that being the property manager, it is their job to make every effort to protect the landlord and their property and by doing that, making detailed notes of the condition of someone’s property you are looking after, is important. Her incompetence showed when she couldn’t even find the entry condition report in her records to compare with when performing her exit inspection of the property.Again, she had proven her statement on her profile wrong and it was quite disappointing that she did not deliver what she valued as “…handling each individuals situation is taken with empathy and care, her persistence, reliability, excitement and consideration to understand the emotional process of buying, selling and renting a home means, she will be there with you every step of the way, providing a stress-free approach for all her clients.” to us. In fact, she actually made our stay unsettling and at times very stressful.There appears to be plenty of great reviews for Nicky as an exceptional real estate agent in buying and selling property. Yet it speaks volumes when there is hardly anything on here that honestly tells you how she is as a property manager. It might just be the case of some people feeling intimidated because they simply cannot put into words how Nicky made them feel but I felt the need to tell the truth. So let that in itself, be a warning to you.

Part 1: This review has been 2 years in the making. My experience with her has been far from professional on a number of occasions where she lacked any kind of empathy and at times was disrespectful.Her company profile describes her as “exceeding her clients expectations with her strong communication skills and commitment to successfully completing any challenge she is given, which gives you the confidence that she will always endeavour to exceed expectations.” As a tenant applying for a rental property that she managed, my initial correspondences with her were prompt and I guess this happens when you are trying to secure a tenant. Within two months of moving into the rental property, I brought up a few maintenance issues that required attention. Her response and communication to these requests were tardy and for the most part, she had no idea what was going on and every time I questioned her about them, she would typically reply with, “I don’t know!” Her responses came across as rude at times and I felt that she was annoyed at the fact that all I wanted from her was to simply get an update on where each maintenance issue I brought up was being looked into. I’m talking about faulty front and back door locks which didn’t secure the property properly, blocked toilet and leaking sewage and a faulty stovetop to name a few. Instead of fixing these problems, Nicky’s concern for and wanting to investigate tampering and malicious use of the property were more of a priority. Accusing me of deliberately misusing and causing damage to my place of residence that I just moved in to, was only the tip of iceberg. I thought I was doing the right thing by being a responsible tenant and reporting issues as they arise but to have to deal with an impatient and rude property manager who did not only want to attend to the issues but then wanted to offer to terminate my lease early without penalty, to avoid fixing the issues we raised with the property, was very disheartening. After mentioning that this was considered as retaliatory eviction according to RTA, only then the issues we raised were being taken seriously and then fixed. This all happened in the first 3 months of moving in!So be warned, if you’re going to be a tenant under her management, don’t be a nuisance and bring up issues with the property because it won’t be taken lightly and be prepared to do the legwork with constantly having to follow-up on whether the problems will be attended to. Be mindful that when you raise issues with the property, it may even take up to 8 weeks and sometimes even months before anything is done or if at all.

Nicky is a true professional!Even though we weren't ready to sell, Nicky was very patient and helpful in guiding us through the processes and helping us evaluate our property to better understand the current market. When we are ready to sell, we would most definitely be using Nicky and her services.Would highly recommend anyone considering or ready to sell their property to chat with Nicky and her team!
