Metropolitan Air Conditioning Wyndham Vale

Booked in an appointment for AirCon repair due to water dripping from internal unit. Paid call out fee of $149. Tradies came in on time and inspected the unit externally. Did not open it up. Came back with a quote of $1230 to undertake what they called a jet clean which would fix the leak.I rejected the offer. Had another Tradie come and fix it which happenend to be just a puncture to the Drain Pipe for $150 including parts.In addition the Tradies who came in quoted for fixing the water pressure to my home which they claimed was above the permitted pressure level. Never asked them to check for this and felt it an invasion of my home. I paid them to come and check the Aircon which they did not take the troubel to do and they used the time to snoop around my house.

Steer clear. You pay a call out fee to get a quote (they wouldn’t quote over the phone even for a basic service). Then was quoted 4x other companies for a service. All of the other companies have quoted me $250 for the service whereas metropolitan quoted $1K, PLUS the call out fee which was around the cost of a service with any other company. A complete rip off! Super unethical company. I politely emailed them to let them know how deceptive I think their practices are and they didn’t even bother to reply.

Absolute scam! STAY AWAY! Called them up to check on my sick & elderly parents gas log heater, some hero with a big mouth came out, didn't even bother to look at possible problems, instead started quoting 2.5k for a service or 12k for a replacement... all he needed to do is switch the damn pilot on!! Waste of time, brain cells and scammed $140 for his effort! USELESS!!

Nathan called ahead, he was friendly and professional. He diagnosed my plumbing issue very quickly, gave a quote for the job and was done in 25 mins. Happy customer :)
