Well what a pleasant surprise. After perusing the many furniture stores in the centre, where we were met by many disinterested staff, my sister and I were greeted by a very friendly and genuine young man today at Home Sweet Home. You could tell it wasn’t a sales technic, it’s was his energetic personality. We had been shopping around for new furniture for my home. I have not had anything new since my divorce in 2004, only second hand and hand me downs. Anthony, is brilliant, he shows a great knowledge of the product and a sincerity not often found in the youth of today. I genuinely wish him well as he is way to good for furniture sale. My sister and I are returning tomorrow as she has decided to refurbish parts of her home. Good luck young man, you are a great credit to the company you work for. Good luck Anthony.

The owners husband Scott was one of the rudest people we have ever had to deal with. He asked my wife when a product was faulty if she had a small brain and couldn’t work out how to do the warranty online when she was in the shop. This was amongst several other nasty things he said. After sales service was terrible,DON’T pay in full upfront as you won’t get your money back if they can’t supply an undamaged or faulty product. They only give a store credit.The lounges we purchased have been great but due to the way he treated my wife we will never return.

Purchased a modular lounge and when unpacked it smelt like smelly feet, something to do with the stuffing as they are made in China. Have complained to customer service 3 times and they were going to get someone out. That was 3 mths ago went back in 2 weeks ago and still no response.

We purchased a desk for $1000. Once unpacked we found out it has major marks and scratches (around 15 major defects) which you would not expect if you are purchasing such an expensive desk. We called the store and they just said we need to submit request online. Of course didn’t hear back!

The staff here (Gosford) are friendly enough however the Company homesweethomeonline.com.au are a nightmare to deal with and their customer service is atrocious. You better hope there is nothing wrong with the product. They are just using their stores to move dodgy floor stock.
