Loved our stay at Cabane Sur Mer! Amazing location with stunning views. Walking distance to restaurants, shops and bush trails. Great set up for groups with each level having its own bathroom. Will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

A touch of Provincial France in the heart of the Southern Highlands. I can’t recommend Saint Elois Le Jardin in Burradoo highly enough. Shelly and Pete have put so much love and thought into this lovely home. Beautifully appointed and well fitted out, we had all the comforts of home. My husband and I, together with 4 adult children and 9 month old grandson had a wonderful 4 night stay. It was above and beyond our expectations.

We loved our stay at Sandy C! The house was clean and tidy and has everything we needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. The outdoor spa was luxurious and the appliances and wifi worked well. We took the complimentary bikes out for a ride down to the lake too, which was beautiful! Cafes and a couple of shops just at the end of the street. Perfect!

The stables were clean and well presented. It was cool but lovely. The heating helps in the bedrooms but the floor is polished cement and the living room and hallway still felt cold. Bring your winter woollies and enjoy being in the Southern highlands. The days were great and the nights crisp but you are so close to vineyards and nature walks. Good cafes, pubs and restaurants all within 10 to 20 minutes away.

Great little cottage to get away for a few days. Had everything we needed and although it was very cold in Bowral the weekend that we arrived, the cottage had enough heaters and warm blankets to kept us cosy. Pete and Shelly were lovely hosts and shared lots of tips on places to dine. Recommended for those who want something different from a modern and bland apartment setting.For my husband and me, the cottage was perfectly “imperfect”!

Amazing long weekend at Cabane Sur Mer, Shoal Bay. Beautifully newly furnished home with fantastic views and amazing sunsets. Only a short walk to the Country Club and lovely beaches.we had a great time Thank you!

Lovely view and nice spot but not actually on the beach! There is a busy foot path between the garden and beach. Lots of dog walkers, bike riders and children on scooters used the path whilst we were there. So if you have a nervous or protective dog be ready for a lot of barking.The accommodation itself is really a beach shack so don’t expect a luxury retreat. The place felt very run down and not well cared for. The gas ran out on our first morning! The team reacted quickly so that was excellent service but to have two large gas bottles run empty goes to show the lack of care. Bedding was from the 50s and not in a cool trendy way. The log fire was a draw card for us and it worked well. However, there was no kindling, matches or fire lighters. Worst of all the log basket was empty and we had to cart the logs from the bottom of the steep slippery garden up several steps into the shack.Fortunately we are fit and able but for anyone less so this would be virtually impossible. Again just shows a lack of care.We would go back to the area but not this shack.

We chose the Old Bottleshop at Currarong for our 7 day, extended family holiday during the Easter holidays and are very glad we did. The house catered well for our 7 adults plus 3 children, aged 2 and under. (Word of warning for toddlers - there is a steep wooden staircase joining upper and lower levels with no safety gate provided. We were advised to provide our own and needed it! Fortunately we brought two - our normal doorway width gate was not wide enough, and we used our free- standing 3 panel one) With two bedrooms upstairs for two couples, one shared with a toddler and two bedrooms downstairs, one used by a couple with baby in portacot and the other (with bunks most suitable for two children rather than tall adults), where the 2 year old slept, and a fold out lounge in the downstairs family room(with pool table) for our adult son, we all slept comfortably on good comfortable mattresses with light doonas provided.The house is suited to hot, cool or wet weather, and we used heaters, and the dryer during our fairly cool and breezy week.We enjoyed the facilities indoors, multiple living areas with very comfortable lounges, played pool, watched smart TVs upstairs and downstairs, and loved relaxing together taking in the views around both of the long dining tables upstairs, both inside and on the deck . We were able to make a 'playroom' area in one lounge area upstairs, and kept the other area free of kids toys and stuff for adults to relax!The kitchen was well set up for us all to prepare meals, and dishwasher worked well. We were thankful for the extra drinks fridges, both upstairs in the kitchen and downstairs. The upstairs bathroom with shower and big free standing bath were great- kids loved the unusual bath spout. Found the shower head and water pressure just a little weak.Beautifully decorated throughout, without making us feel nervous of damaging anything.We all loved the long, neatly manicured tropical- themed garden in the back yard, outdoor hot shower, downstairs outdoor undercover living areas, making us feel like we were in the tropics!We were able to leave all our kayaks and fishing gear, towels etc safely in the very private, quite secure back yard. We all loved the incredible convenience of simply picking up the kayaks or the sup and walking out the back gate(pool safety type), crossing the short walk across the lush green picnic area/reserve, to meet the sand of the beach and inlet, where we launched our kayaks to paddle either up the channel/ creek of out the channel into the usually calm, flat sea. The only thing we had to think of was the tide, as at high tide, the channel was too deep to wade across to get to Currarong beach, though perfect for launching our kayaks. At low tide it was simple to walk across ankle deep water to the beach, or to stay on our side and play on the sand or explore the rock pools.It was a short walk out our back gate to the beach or reserve with playground and swings. And a ridiculously short walk to Zac's place, the little general store/ cafe/ coffee shop where we could buy most things we needed at short notice, like milk, bread, cereal etc!We were delighted to be able to watch amazing, glorious sunsets from our balcony and back yard every evening.We walked together the easy walks to the lovely calm sheltered Abraham's Bosom beach and the Wreck walk on bush track, to see the wreck of the SS Merimbula.It was an easy 10 minute walk for us all to go out for drinks and dinner at the Currarong Bowling club, with classic pub style meals and families catered for (high chairs and kiddies playground).We loved being there so much that we decided not to venture out by car anywhere but to enjoy all the activities at hand, accessed by foot! With one exception... when we drove to see the Lighthouse and spectacular views of Jervis Bay at Point Perpendicular- well worth the 25 minute drive and the 15 minutes of rather bumpy unsealed access road.What a fabulous family holiday! We thoroughly recommend the Old Bottle shop as a perfect family holiday destination!
