Melissa came to our office to take images of our directors for the annual report. Prior to the actual shoot, she provided advice and visited the premises to determine the best location. On the day, she was fun and professional. The resulting photos looked great and she even helped us to 'save' some poor quality photos received from our international office. Highly recommended.

This was our first professional photo shoot with kids! A toddler and a newborn! I was concerned with how the kids would behave and in true toddler style by the end of the session, she was playing up! Melissa was incredibly patient, has such a natural and relaxed approach, she was fantastic with the kids, and made us feel so at ease, nothing was too much trouble. Although my toddler (and newborn) were rather uncooperative at times, Melissa captured some absolutely beautiful shots. We are so happy that we have captured such a precious time in our lives, with some amazing photos! We highly recommend Smile Photographics.

We were so comfortable with Melissa coming into our home to take some early family photos of us and our newborn daughter. Melissa had such a lovely energy when interacting with us a new family and has a beautiful way of capturing the moment and the essence of who you are, especially in your own space. Cannot recommend Mel highly enough. Our previous experience with a family portrait photographer had left us disappointed but Mel managed to incorporate the old with a beautiful creative 'new' and the resulting photo collection is the show piece of our home. Melissa is the perfect combination of professional photographer mixed with a fun and gentle person. She gave me the guidance I needed from start to finish - from location, lighting, colours and styling through to photo selection, sizing, framing and positioning in my home. She managed our combination of shy children, excitable puppy and self conscious mother with humour and laughter. The resulting photos are outstanding. Melissa did a photoshoot of our family. I couldn't have been happier with the results - the shoot itself was relaxed and fun, Melissa made everyone very comfortable and feeling good about being in front of the camera rather than self-conscious. She even managed to get the best out of very tired children at the end of a long school term. She captured the touching looks, the secret smiles, the full on beaming grins that you know but rarely manage to get on camera, but most importantly the pictures look and feel like us. Just a much better version of us than when I take the pictures!

We recently worked with Mel on a very special photo shoot for our luxury resortwear brand. Mel's brief was to capture the essence of our brand through the women who wear it. We shot across a half day with 5 women who do not usually model and Mel was a star. Not only was she really fun and lovely to have around, she captured exactly what we asked for. We will be using her again!
