Pro Dive Cairns Dive Centre

I had a 3 day livaboard journey with the most professional, caring and fun Pro Dive crew that led by Satoshi, Lucy, Angus, Che and Julia.My trip included 11 dives, advanced open water certification, and constant supply of freshly made meals and deserts that prepared with love by our chef Arkira who’s also a certified diver. It is a soul charging journey while physically powerless after the intensive training and diving. A diver onboard even did the same trip twice, consecutively.Honestly, this was my first livaboard experience, I was hesitating about the condition of staying in the cabin for 3 days as there’s no way out :p However, this trip changed my perception fully and has taught me to be a more agile and confident diver. Also, observing the way that crews work together to create experience for divers of different capability and experiences has been a great learning process.Don’t expect the journey to be totally comfortable, the sea could be choppy and the boat could be bumpy. However, it is all worthwhile when you dive along the breathtaking coral reefs that houses a great diversity of marine lives (keep breathing tho lol )… and it is guaranteed that the loving Pro Dive crew will make you leave the boat with a content smile.Thank you for all the hardworks and genuine conversations from the Pro Dive people, I hope to see you guys in the bubbles again soon !

Fully recommend Prodive Cairns for a GBR liveaboard trip! My wife and I went out as certified divers and had an amazing time! Was great to go out and explore the reef unguided, the pre-dive briefings were really thorough and we always felt super safe and well looked after. We were also lucky enough to swim with a minke whale which was .. incredible. The food on board was better than we expected too - both being veggie we had guarded expectations but needn't have - the food was great and everyone was catered for really well! The crew were fantastic. The gear all looked new and well cared for. Would definitely go out with them again! They also fixed my mask (for free!) before going out which is more than my local dive shop or Aqualung could do! We may have been thrown in to 2 weeks of mandatory quarantine on returning to WA... but looking back it was still worth it :) Thanks guys!

Hi there, Bernie here. I just finished 3 days on the reef, and did my advanced open.My instructor J A C O B!You could not have asked for a better guy!Super friendly and professional. Nothing was too much for him.The rest of the crew Captain, Cook Anna, Tom, Joe etc were just fantastic.11 dives within 3 days was a bit much for some people. Weather was not too good unfortunately.Get a thrill and do a night dive with sharks!Highly recommend pro dive. Boot was good, cabins a bit small. But hey, you are here to dive.

My friend and I just travelled the East Coast over 50 days and still talk about how our Open Water course with Pro Dive was the absolute highlight of our trip! The 2 days in the classroom and pool can feel like long days, but is so thorough and important to build the skills for the reef. We had the greatest time out on the boat for the 3 days, met incredible people and are now so excited to continue diving around Australia. The staff, especially our instructor Kevin, is what made this experience truly an unforgettable one. Our night dive with the sleepy sea turtles is one we won't forget! If you book one thing while on the East coast, make it the 5 day Open Water Course...you won't regret it!

Coordinated and thoughtful crew were constantly monitoring our wellbeing on the voyage to the outer reef. The night dives turned out to be enjoyable while discovering a wide range of marine life. Scuba equipment is entry level and adequate for recreational depths. When you take into account the cost of gear hire, food, accommodation, and fuel, it’s worthwhile for novice divers to complete their training on the Great Barrier Reef.

I have had an amazing 3 day trip with Pro Dive Cairns. I especially rate Carro, who went on a one to one dive with me when I had a blip with my confidence. As well as great staff, good good and a high level of safety.

We’ve just been dropped off from a 3-day liveaboard trip and could not be happier. The crew was beautiful — incredibly aware and buttoned up, but also friendly and fun. Safety was clearly always paramount. Food was delicious, beautiful, and plentiful, with lots of salads to complement the mains. We slept so well. The dives were as gorgeous and lush as we’d hoped, and appropriate for our newly certified son, as well as experienced divers. The vibe on the boat comes from the top, and it’s a great one. Thank you Leighton, Matthieu, Roberto, Flo, Joseph, and of course, the bacon master, Marius!

Did my open water cert on a 3 day liveaboard with Pro Dive Cairns. Had an awesome time, Veronica and Julia were expert, safe and fun instructors, Leighton and Ethan were efficient, clear and hilarious crew, and Matt kept us well fed with great food.The boat is not a luxurious cruise liner, but is totally well appointed for a dive boat. The crew also do an amazing job at keeping it clean and tidy, especially the combo head/bathrooms.What other reviews have said about feeling like a sales target is true, but IMO is a reflection on management, the crew and instructors deserve the highest praise.The booking process is simple and communication and instructions are very clear, read all your emails to set your expectations and you won't be disappointed at all.Thanks Pro Dive, looking forward to next time!
