Evonne Chen did a really bad job here.Recently my lease agreement will be expired and I want to renew it. And the insurance company wants to come and change the timber floor, I already agreed and do everything I can, for example, have a discussion with the property manager and my neighbour to ask for their help to move the furnitures.But Evonne Chen just voided the Lease Agreement Renewal, and send me a text message said that if I cannot make the timber floor replacement happen, my lease agreement would not be renewed. I do not understand why she saying so as I already agree to make this happen.Then today when Evonne came with Mia, the new staff in this company, I said you should talk to the husband and wife because they jointly own this property, and they both are landlords. The reason why I said so is because the wife very understands my situation and agrees with our plan regarding how to make the timber floor change happen. Evonne said it in front of me and your staff Mia that she just talked to the husband, and she does not care whether there were joint owners.I said I gonna record what you said. Evonne said it's fine, just record it, I dont' care. (She said it in front of Mia as well). Then when I went to get my phone to record it, she just went away together with Mia. The last sentence she left to me was she would not argue with tenants.Firstly, Evonne only cares amount one landlord, if you are joint landlords, she does not care about you. (She exactly said so in front of me and Mia, one of your staff) Then, she only cares about the landlord, she would not care about the tenant. If any conflicts happen, she would just threaten you that she would not continue the lease agreement with you and force you to compromise.I just do not know why I already ask for all the help I can get to make the timber floor replacement happen, and she still does this to me. And last time when the person who will do the timber floor replacement was here, Evonne talked to him over the phone. when they finished the call, that person said to me, my husband, and the mother-in-law of the landlord that Evonne just does not understand things and she is not helpful at all. So it is not only me feel so, other people feel so as well.Jack is very good. He always wants to help. But Evonne Chen is definitely very hopeless.

Got back to me within 5 minutes of messaging about a property, quickly accomodated my request to inspect, provided lots of assistance in moving in processes. Absolute pleasure to interact with Jack, all-round top bloke. Consider yourself lucky if you walk into an inspection and see Jack.Also Mia Kennedy what a legend fantastic stuff all around.

I moved into a new house a week ago. My agents Mia and Evonne showed extremely professional skills throughout the leasing process, and they were very considerate and timely to deal with and solve the problems encountered by the tenants. I think the rental experience was very good for me.

Writing this so Soames Hornsby have some pointers that can be improved.Fixed term expired Sept 2022. Switched to periodic. Rent increased by $30. 6 months later Soames Agent calls to increase rent significantly. No written notice provided. According to NSW fair trading rent can only be increased once in 12 months and 60 notice to be provided. Both of these weren't followed. I offered $60 increase, rent as part of negotiations but landlord wanted whopping $110 increase instead. I advised I cannot afford this amount. Upon this I received a termination notice, with no reason provided in the termination notice ie no reason ticked. This is the 3rd illegal event. I moved out under significant stress, despite explaining the situation in an email to the landlord that we just changed schools and I was open to negotiations. I moved out on Wednesday after doing all the cleanup. Exit inspection report received 12 days later with number of items to be addressed. 2 weekends had passed, if inspection report was handed on time I could have addressed these. These were minor items and a Soames maintenance person would have charged not more then $500. Quite a lot was wear and tear and cleaning issue. I had also paid Soames reccomended cleaner $600Regardless I offered $500 for fixing the said items. Landlord wanted $1000, which was too much. To get out of stress I offered $750. Still they wanted $800. Which I paid same day as they didn't trust me that I would pay after bond was returned. Also in this time I received numerous calls to cancel my bond refund from Soames Agent. I am finally out of this situation but has caused too much stress and has been exhausting dealing with Soames. I reccomend, agents need to work for both landlords and tenants and advise landlords to follow the LAW, not just do what they say. Not to screw tenants out of every penny they have for things they won't cost that much. Have proper communication and be prompt as specified in NSW fair trading laws. I could have gone to the tribunal to challenge the rent increase at 6 months without notice, regardless of these I kept getting threatened to withdraw my bond. I lodged the claim after not hearing from agent. Only after I lodged the bond I started getting calls. Long story short, I am glad this has ended. Wasn't happy with the service I had received. Soames should compensate me for this stress and hassle. But I know this will not happen. Good bye.
