Amazing place and amazing host. Mat is a very kind person and provided us very tasty breakfast and all kind of recommendations to enjoy the Daintree Forest. His place is in the middle of the forest, it is beautiful, tidy and worth to stay as much as you can.

This is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Owner-operator Matt was so helpful, and his breakfasts are AMAZING. The rooms are cozy and clean - and you can't take that for granted in a steamy tropical environment. It's in the perfect location to tour the Daintree. Make the most of the opportunity to chat with Matt and other guests, the place is set up to be a temporary community.

The Epiphyte is absolutely perfect for a stay in the Daintree wilderness! Beautifully clean and friendly atmosphere. Matt is an amazing host and has all the knowledge you'd ever need to get around the area and beyond. Great energy here! Highly recommend.

This place is really something very special: rearrange your itinerary if necessary to go there! Remote, surrounded by gardens and then rainforest/mountains. Matt is a wonderful, knowledgeable host - talk to him to plan your visit before coming. For example, visit the Reef from here rather than Cairns or Port Douglas.

We had a great time during our stay at the Epiphyte. Matt was not only an incredibly friendly host, but also very knowledgeable about the area and provided some great suggestions for places to explore, including some 'secret' spots! The room was clean, modern and comfortable. The extensive breakfast fruit platter is definitely something we'll remember! I'd recommend staying at least three nights given the many things to explore in the area.

Great cosy hidden away bed and breakfast, surrounding by the Daintree, with a friendly knowlegable host. Lovely place to just disconnect. We stayed in the Golden Orchid Cottage, perfect for a couple and slightly detached from the remainder of the B&B. The communal space was a good place to unwind and chat with other guests and share stories of our adventures.Matt, the host, was on point with all the recommendations, including where to go but importantly when to go in order to avoid the tourist rush. Managed to check out far more of the Daintrees because of his know how, and a few places we initially would have skipped.Explore the grounds, from the creek up to the gazebo and simply take it all in.

A magical place on earth ✨Just picture this:You just finished your amazing breakfast where you tried delicious fruits you've never heard of before, and now you're swinging in a hammock, surrounded only by the sounds of birds chirping in the distance, the smell of rain is in the air and a bright blue butterfly just passes by, bringing extra joy to this grounding, calming moment. We were lucky enough to even spot a Cassowary at the Epiphyte itself! After that, you take the car and you start exploring the world's oldest rainforest, following Matt's (the host) accurate tips and suggestions. The Daintree is filled with places of incredible beauty and you can literally feel the amount of life in every inch of the forest. If you are a nature enthusiast, you will fall in love with this place and with Matt's sustainable and peaceful BnB.Be ready to connect with yourself and mother nature!

Can’t rate the property, but the owner Mat was super helpful when we had to cancel due to ferry closure. He called me proactively and gave a full refund. Great communication and service. This will be the first place we stay next time we’re heading to Daintree.

Loved our stay here! We booked one of the private cottages with its own kitchen which was very convenient and had everything we needed. Location is great and we loved that the host had lots of recommendations for our stay. This was my first time in B&B style accom and I really enjoyed chatting with the other guests over breakfast and swapping stories.
