I have had an atrocious experience trying to deal with Sarah. She is a very intelligent and capable person but her communication skills are an abomination. I almost never get returned emails, phone calls or texts.. We received a report 10 months ago from Firebird that gave us an acceptable fire rating to design to. We then spent tens of thousands of dollars on architecture and engineering only to find that Firebird had got the report wrong. Sarah abandoned us and to date has not confirmed that her report was wrong, even though I have first hand knowledge that the RFS refuted her report. I dearly wish that she had communicated her error in good time so that we didn't waste a huge amount of money and the best part of a year.

Great to deal with

We got a BAL certificate from them for our new home build in Lake Macquarie. Sarah was great. She promptly returned my call and answered all my questions about BAL rating (as this was our first build in a bushfire-prone area). She issued the certificate in two days and also offered to update the certificate without any issue because the original certificate was issued using a draft site plan. Her colleague, Nick, also did great job in updating the certificate promptly.

Lucy from Firebird was AMAZING. She only took 2 hours to research and get our BAL 12.5 to Low (it should’ve been Low but our builder couldn’t care less) which means that we saved $6500!The fee for the service was $385 including GST. I highly recommend their services to anyone who is building.Thanks so much!!!
