KZO Doncaster

Literally cringe shop. At least make the food good right! The rice cakes smelt rancid and I couldn’t even finish it. You know I wouldn’t be so mad if the food wasn’t too expensive but it was! The food was disgusting but it is so mid and would not recommend to anyone >:)

Quick & delicious meal to try at Westfield Doncaster. I loved all the flavors that were present in each dish. The fried chicken was cooked perfectly and had great flavors. The kimchi fried rice had subtle flavors which was a great combination with the fried chicken.I loved the japchae! Wasn’t too oily or too dry. Had a good amount of meat to it as well.The best of the meal for me had to be their fries with the sweet cheese sauce. It was SO DELICIOUS!If you’re feeling like some spicy food, their toppoki is just as good as their other dishes.

KZO was a good place to get lunch. First the positives.Big bowls of tasty noodles at a reasonable price. Side dishes like Kim Chi were available. Staff are friendly and helpful but a little unaware of the ingredients used.And for vegetarians or people with any other dietary concerns, they have a list of their meals and a corresponding checklist of potential allergens or problematic additions to their food. The checklist wasn't complete though, and I was left wondering if their kim chi had fish sauce in, as many do.And then they went and changed their menu. No more noodles. No more kim chi. Smaller servings and all on rice. One star off for the very limited menu.A small dish with 3 dumplings, a small serving of carrots and cucumber on rice is $16. So one star off for value.

After doing some Thursday night shopping we decided to grab a bite to eat at the food court and try something different.There was a special on for $9.90 with a choice of 2 dishes but decided to go the larger size at $14.90 which provides 3 choices of dishes in addition to a selection of two rice types.The quantity provided was ample and the selections were decent. There was a bit of variety in the temperatures of each of the dishes with not all being as hot as expected with the beef not that tender which suggested it may have been there for a while prior to me turning up at around 6 ish but overall I appreciated the options and would be happy to come back...perhaps earlier in the day with the food closer to freshly cooked.Staff were friendly.

Having read some of the reviews prior to our visit, we knew their menu was modern fusion Korean i.e. not your traditional Korean.On the menu, KZO serves kimchi fried rice, Japchae fried noodles, Guksu wheat noodle soup and K.Baguettes paired with different proteins and a range of sides, K.Salad, rice cakes, fries and bingsu for dessert which was unfortunately out of stock when we visited.Along with the preset menu items, KZO also provide an option where you can pick your own base and protein to 'build your own'.We had the kimchi fried rice with signature fried chicken and japchae with spicy angus beef. The kimchi fried rice had a very subtle flavour of kimchi while the japchae had a nice little kick to it and was as expected very flavoursome.Serving size wise, we found it to be reasonable when paired with a side.

Love the kpop Blackpink vibes here. The K-BOWLS here are delicious. BLACK mayo and PINK mayo are both my favourite with the cheese katsu chicken and Angus beef.

Who can turn down a one of a kind, mouthwatering and budget friendly Korean feast ever? @kzoaustralia is here to serve us with addictive, irresistible Korean flavours through their elaborate menu that you can either DIY or you choose from their options.Their menu has mains like wheat noodles, japchae, kimchi fried rice, k-baguette, tteokbokki, bingsu and so much more.What we had:Kimchi fried rice with signature Korean fried chicken, served with greens, fresh kimchi. The flavours are simply bomb in this dish. Everything tastes so incredibly yummy in this dish and are cooked to perfection. Definitely gonna come back for this again. Strongly recommended.Japchae with spicy bulgogi Angus beef, served with greens, fresh kimchi and glass noodles. The subtle and simple flavours combined with delectable and tender bulgogi Angus beef makes it such a fantastic dish.Rose cream cake, not too spicy but equally delicious and you’re bound to fall in love with it’s satisfying flavours. Must try for sure.KZO fries with yuzu mayo, the sweetness of yuzu laced with the saltiness of the crispy fries paired so well. The yuzu made the fries simply next level tasty.From a price point, I think right now they are absolutely affordable with a quantity that can be shared between two.
