Kingi's Sharpening Services

I found Kingi the Kiwi when I'd tried 2 other local places without success, when looking for a chainsaw oil filler plug I needed in a hurry. Kingi GAVE me (i.e. free, gratis & no charge!!) the plug, so I had a chat and then took my 2 chainsaws to him for service & sharpening. I could now shave with the blades and the saws now run like the proverbial rocket. More important to me than his master craftsman bladesmith abilities though, is that he's affable, down to earth, friendly and a great bloke. You know when you've got the right guy for the Job. Kingi is so passionate about what he does and in this setting pride is what goes into every job that goes out to the customer. I had my Chain Saw blades sharpened and they now go through timber like a hot knife through butter. His prices and service are polar opposites. His service is High and his prices are very reasonable. You wont get a better job anywhere in the Hills area. He's a hero!

Very pleased with the job Kingi did sharpening my axe and log splitter. When you've worked with blunt tools for so long you forget the way they should work! Well worth the cost of getting them sharpened properly.

Having owned a set of Global knives for nearly a decade I thought they were finished. Chipped and blunt as butter knives. I researched sharpening services in our area and found Kingi. We dropped the knives in on Thursday afternoon and they were ready for pick up on Friday morning, better than when they were new. Kingi is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, fast, fair, and excellent at what he does. I cannot recommend this company highly enough. The best customer service I can ever remember getting. Genuinely skilled, old fashioned craftsmanship. Kingi is friendly, honest and quick. I took an office guillotine with curved blade - every other place said it couldn't be done". It's perfect - no need to replace. I also took my embarrassing garden shears and secateurs. He can sharpen just about anything

We first found this place over 2 years ago when we were looking for set of knives to be sharpened, excellent work, my wife was very impressed, really friendly and explained what and how the job will be done. Very knowledgeable and competent. I then started taking my mower, chain saw and mulcher for regular services and repairs. A prompt, professional and top quality end-product. Highly recommend. Staff are friendly and always follow through with text or call as soon as work is completed.

Kingi is a fantastic blade smith. Our knives are used in an industrial setting and they are always returned better than new.He’s always busy, so if you’re thinking about sharpening your collection etc I’d be giving him a call now!
