Tasted good going down not so much when it came back up.Went here as it had many good reviews and we were staying at a holiday park close by, the chips, crab sticks and deep fried banana with cinnamon were exceptional.The fish on the other hand... my dad and I went half in a piece of fish, it had a bit of a wired texture but tasted pretty normal due to deep frying and batter. The piece we had ate was very thick and not all cooked...food poisoning for us

Ate dinner here last night and was the most delicious fish and chips I've had in a long time. Service was lovely and very reasonable prices. My favourite is the pineapple fritter with cinnamon sugar. Highly recommend

Got dinner here for the family, very generous portions especially with the chips, no one went to bed hungry. The squid was a stand out super tender and melt in your mouth. The service was really good, they were super busy and told us it would be a 20min wait and they were bang on time wise. Worth it.

I have eaten a lot of fish and chips in my life but nothing compares, to the food at this local fish and chip shop. I cannot recommend this shop enough…-Very Generous portions-Amazing tasting food-Cheap prices-Friendly inviting staff-Clean and tidy environment-EfficientI could go on….Well done Gropers fish and chips!I will be back for sure!

Tried to call ahead as was no doubt busy, was politely asked to hold which was fine.5x minutes later, and still on hold, I arrived at the shop just as the phone was hung up on their end.Wanted to order $2 of chips, as per what's written on the menu board as being the minimum) was then informed that the minimum is $3.As far as first impressions go, not great.Only reason I gave it 2x stars instead of one was that it was busy.

Generous portions, loved the chips, calamari and batter but thought the fish was a bit too fishy. Highly recommend ordering ahead though as this place gets really busy, with long wait times.

Best fish and chips! My partner and I owned a fish and chip shop so we’re well aware of the hard labour it is to get the food right. Beautiful clean oil, food cooked exceptionally and excellent service. The business owner is dealing with the country’s chip shortage so it’s challenging times. Imagine a pub with no beer? Same stress for a fish and chips owner with the possibility of no chips. The owner is currently driving hours to source chips to keep her business afloat. So tourists if you’re looking for a treat then support this business you won’t be disappointed! I would have actually given six stars if I could..
