Found BimmerTech by chance a couple of years ago and have had nothing but positive experiences with Matt and the team.Always ready to help you in an emergency and keep you ahead of the game to prevent major pain down the track.Great value for money, professional and clear pride in workmanship with a slightly old school workshop vibe.Matt always talks me through what's been done, shows me the parts that were replaced and what to keep an eye on.A great local business I highly recommend. I have been using Matt Kane (Bimmertech) for over 25 years, he has serviced the cars of my wife and myself and never once have either of us had any cause for complaint; on the contrary he provides excellent service at much lower cost than any of the car dealers. His fault diagnoses are without peer- never wrong. If you put your car in for service and you find a list of items which have been attended to but which you were not anticipating it is simply because THEY NEEDED TO BE DONE.I have read the review by Keith M and have to say that his comment about Matt being racist is risible-utterly ridiculous. I suspect that Mr M may have come out on the wrong side of an argument with Matt.As an example of his value and skill as a mechanic allow me to provide the following: A close friend who drives a VW Tiguan (and loves it) recently put the vehicle in for repairs at a local dealership; they quoted him $9000. I was appalled and suggested he go to Matt. He did; the fault was remedied for less than $1300. It is probably fair to say that it is not possible in business to keep everybody happy but given the odds, I'll take Matt Kane every time.

Mathew is a expert motor mechanic and always happy to solve problems that’s other don’t want to tackle and in the process save you a lot of time and money he’s gifted with cars and a pretty terrific guy always happy to share his knowledge, making it easy decision to visit time after time knowing he’s there to look after your pride and joy , I’ve had a ton of cars looked after mathew over the years including my aston Martin bd9 , 500 sl Merc , Porsche cayanne and several bmws . Super trustworthy and I’d not go anywhere else . He constantly goes the extra mile . I would highly recommend mathew and his fellow mechanics at bimma tech

The head mechanic Matthew is how all mechanics should be - polite to talk with and very good at his job.His workshop is spotlessly clean and he charges reasonable prices.And he also gives you a realistic quote before commencing any work so you don't end up with a massive unexpected bill.Highly recommended !

I am a qualified certified and registered motor mechanic and whilst I have not worked in the mechanical field for years, I know what quality mechanical workmanship is. Following extensive research and discussion with mechanical tradespeople on the Northern Beaches, I chose BimmerTech as my preferred BMW specialist.Matthew and his team have serviced my BMW vehicles being a 530i, X1 and an X5 for over a decade. My experience over this time is that the service provided by BimmerTech has been exceptional. Matthew's attention to detail, quality and pride of work stands out not to mention his expertise in all things BMW.The high level of workmanship and very reasonable cost of repairs and servicing sets a standard that has maintained me as a current ongoing customer at BimmerTech.I highly recommend BimmerTech for all your BMW requirements

My partner dropped off her BMW 1 Series for what we thought would be a transparent and routine service check.3 days later when she called to pick the vehicle up, the work shop advised her several additional charges which equated to double the cost of the actual service ($1000+) - this was all done without her consent.This excessive cost was to simply change the oil, air filters and spark plugs.At no point did anybody contact her to advise of the additional charges OR additional works being conducted. It was only when she went to pick it up that they tacked these costs on for works she never asked for or was told about until it was done.The workshop admitted fault and conceded that it was poor communication on their part.Very unprofessional and would recommend anyone who visits to be very careful with this operators business conduct.

I cannot speak highly enough about the exceptional customer service provided by Matthew and his team. I brought an expensive quotation for works totalling around $11,000 from North Shore BMW to him to see whether he could do better and save me some pain.Not only did he fix a TPMS sensor issue that North Shore BMW couldn't resolve, he reduced my total repair bill to $3,600 by avoiding the need to source an unnecessary Hydraulic Control unit and related labour. And he achieved all of this in the space of 2 days, while personally picking up and dropping off the vehicle to my house!I also noticed that the lifter ticking noise in my engine seems to have gone, which I have been tolerating for 5 years. I'll be back for any future issues for sure, including his offered solution for a melting front door handle ; ).Hands down my best experience with a BMW specialist in the 13 years I've been driving bimmers.

For the last 12 years I have been servicing and maintaining my BMWs with a well known and reputable competitor of BimmerTech.I have never been unhappy with their quality of service. However, the pricing of and quotes for services has become in recent times quite remarkable.There was also doubt in my mind as to whether certain work was necessary or even advisable.With some trepidation, borne out of loyalty to my existing service provider, I decided to try BimmerTech.I was delighted with the overall experience, quality of service and personal manner of the team as well evident integrity and approach. The pricing difference was remarkable.Matthew demonstrated why certain work was required or not, offered to show parts removed, demonstrated a pragmatic approach to the timing and need of any further work and was wholly transparent about both hourly labour rates and time spent on specific tasks.This was all a refreshing change.I did not disclose what I had been very recently quoted on parts by my now former service provider for contemplated work.But I can confirm that on a like for like parts basis the % pricing difference at BimmerTech and as far as I can tell labour likewise is substantively better than I have recently experienced. That is putting it politely.So while saddened to have moved service provider I am glad that I have done so.

Matthew Kane at BimmerTech has been my BMW mechanic for almost 30 years. I would never consider going anywhere else for mechanical work on my 1972 and 1986 BMW coupes, or my modern BMW.Matthew has been working on BMWs since the 1970s, when E9s, E12s, E23s, E24s, 2002s, etc. were contemporary and carburettor engines were the norm. He has always kept his skills up-to-date, for all manner of modern European cars with their complex computerised technology. He has invested heavily in modern diagnostic equipment to get to the root cause of issues quickly and efficiently. The spotless state of his workshop speaks volumes about how well organised and professional he is.He remains the only mechanic I've ever met, who has voluntarily showed the parts replaced on a job, to demonstrate what work has been done. As a fellow motoring enthusiast, I appreciate the time he takes to fully explain how various car sub-systems work,  what can go wrong and the warning symptoms to be alert to.Matthew is the most honest and reliable mechanic you could find anywhere. 110% recommended for both European classics and modern machines.

Absolutely the best service experience that i've had with a BMW! They charge much better than the dealership. They've looked after me ever since I got my BMW! The owner Matt is always so helpful with my questions and he provides the utmost information when needed! Best part is, you can source your own part and get them to install it!Overall, I would highly recommend to get your car serviced here if you have a BMW you have nothing to lose! :)
