Warners Gateway
It is my sincere pleasure to advise readers that Warners Gateway is an incredible get away location. Completely off the grid, but with solar powered lights and power, gas stove and water heating, the most incredible tasting water from the mountains behind the house - an iconic example of how the world will look once the power grids collapse....and it is a good look.We stayed two nights. With minus temps at night and morning, the wood fire in the home took away any hint of the weather outside, warming the entire home easily. When the sun was out (which was in the sunlight hours), the outdoor Chiminea kept the chill off whilst we sat around playing guitar, singing, eating, drinking and soaking in nature at its finest. When the mood came, we walked the forests and the creeks in world heritage protects forever forests and acknowledged the Pallitorre mobs that lived here for over 40,000 years and navigated and ice age.Managed by Kim (Roundhouse - Jackeys Marsh), you will not find a better host on the planet. Take a moment to acknowledge Kim's artistic touches to the house at Warners Gateway with the window in the bathroom and the awning posts (amongst other treasures). My only regret is that in proving a review such as this that the property may not be available next time we go to Jackeys Marsh - which we will (this was our second time). Truly God's paradise hidden up a dirt road (not many Tasmanian's know of this place let alone visitors).
