Do not attempt to seek quiet study or reading here... the staff chatter constantly at the top of their voices.

Helpful staff and a lovely play area with an extensive array of books, toys and music to borrow from. Often meet mums, nannies and bubs hanging out together during the week. However...the area where the library reception is does not offer much in the way of seating and there is little space for a pushchair. Also the main door/s to the library does not open automatically unlike a lot of other places which makes it tiresome to get a pram through. I would have given them 5 stars had it not been for those two things.

Quite and cool, and reasonable Librarians , use your own WiFi hotspot the free WiFi is monitored and easily hacked

Nice library. The air-conditioning is out of control in some rooms - it's freezing - 365 days of the year you need to bring a coat. They supply blankets but you might find a coat more convenient. When questions about this the staff said there is nothing they can do about it.

Comfortable, clean and cosy library. Found resources great and new books regularly coming in. The library staff are wonderful, helpful and friendly.

Good Afternoon Google,I would like bring to the attention of the Balmain community the extremely dissatisfying experience which happened to me earlier this morning. I went to the library to print some documents, with no prior knowledge of use of the printing machine. When asking for help, I was answered by a dissatisfied lady who was nothing but rude and impatient with me and seemed to think that i understood how to operate the machine. After an hour of working the printing machine with many errors, misprints and it taking my money, i was able to leave. Would like compensation.NOT HAPPY!!!!

Their photo copier and scanner didn't work so was unable to apply for work that day, also inside toilet didn't work, private reading room was a sauna, wifi was slow
