Empowered Children Play Therapy

It’s been a wonderful journey of working with Kerri as Matteo enjoys spending time with Kerri and learning to play new toys & regulate his emotion. Kerri is very friendly and calming as well as experienced in the area where she works. I’m confident to see some developments and further positives changes in Matteo’s behavior with Kerri’s help and guidance.

Kerri worked with my son who is diagnosed with ADHD for 6 months. Her warm and gentle approach made it very easy for him to quickly connect with her and they developed a really lovely bond. Kerri always made sure that my son was greeted and accepted exactly where he was at that moment, no matter how chaotic the day had been, or how dysregulated he was on arrival. Kerri created an environment that ensured my son naturally felt safe and knew the play room was his space to play out what he needed to - whether is was loud, with lots of banging, crashing and laughing, or very quiet lego building. We've absolutely seen improvements in his emotional regulation, particularly in how he copes with disappointment or changes to plans. Kerri will make a wonderful addition to your child's life, we highly recommend!

My 2 and a half year old son who is currently non-verbal and diagnosed with global developmental delay with signs of autism had the pleasure of working with kerri on a weekly basis for 7 months through her holistic learning playbased approach. Kerris one on one therapeutic play based approach certianly emphasises on making the childs emotional and psychological wellbeing come first and it is evident through her hard work and determination. These weekly sessions helped my son tremendously in gaining confidence, independence, and enhancing his self esteem, developing his social skills as well as building on his gross/fine motor skills and challenging his cognitive skills. He immediately warmed up to kerri the first time he met her and loved his one on one time with her each session as he always felt safe and supported in his environment. He was always encouraged to explore his surroundings freely and play with whatever toys there was on offer to his hearts desires
