Kristy Grant was more than a pleasure to deal with. She made the whole process a dream and was always just a message away for any concerns which arose. I could not recommend her enough, with her patience and knowledge being unparalleled.

My mum and I have really enjoyed working with Kristy Grant, as she has made us feel relaxed while she has been at the property with possible buyers and over the phone. It has been a pleasure to get to know her and thank you so much for the treats :)

Dehumanising ExperienceI was a tenant with Century 21 from February 2018 to August 2022 and was always 2 weeks ahead of time on rent. They never gave me an entry report when I moved in. I moved to Port Douglas to be the Venue Manager of Jimmy Rums, a very popular cocktail bar, and rented an apartment on Davidson st nearby to adhere to my legal requirement of being within 30 minutes of the venue at any given time. The first 1.5 years of my tenancy were unproblematic. Given that I was there to work I didn’t complain that the dryer & TV didn’t work properly or that the furniture was horrible (no springs in the mattress), that the entire 30 year old unit was run down. In September 2019 they allowed a smoke alarm technician into my apartment, while I was sleeping, without notifying me. This was a traumatic experience. When I complained about this the owner, Phil Holloway, accused me of ‘grubbing for free rent’. Ever since then they failed me on every single rental inspection and rarely listed the reasons why. Sometimes stating that the fans aren’t clean - even tho the truth was that they were old and rusty. Often, there would be tradesman doing work on the complex, blocking my driveway (illegally) and playing loud music. When I complained to the property manager Lynsey Baird she would usually gaslight me and deny that it was happening. Over New Years 2021/2022 our apartment was without hot water for nearly 2 weeks. In March 2022 Lynsey sent me a threatening email telling me I was 9 days behind in rent and to pay immediately. She was incorrect, yet refused to apologise. When I asked Lynsey if I could ever use their companies cleaner she told me that it wasn’t possible. When the time came for me to vacate the property Lynsey refused to give me a list of what belonged to the property or an exit report. My partner and I spent two full days cleaning the property. I then received an email from Lynsey telling me that we had 1 day to re-do all the work or they would use their cleaner (who previously didn’t exist) and take it from our bond. Most professional property managers suggest this beforehand so that tenants don’t waste two days of their lives. She also simultaneously accused us of leaving things behind and of items being missing despite not giving us a list at the appropriate time. Eventually she invoiced me $680 for cleaners to do the last few touches on the property including $225 for ‘steam cleaning’ of the old decrepit furniture. I fought this in court but lost due to Lynsey’s testimony that the furniture was still usable and that the apartment wasn’t to standard. When I looked at the apartment online months later, some of the furniture my money was used to clean had been thrown out and the entire apartment renovated - meaning that the cleaning was all for nothing. The fans had also finally been replaced. Now that I am looking for a new rental ie a roof over my and my lovely girlfriends heads - she refuses to give any reference for us even acknowledging that we lived there and paid over $75,000 in rent. I feel like I have been treated like a second class citizen by this company and that they are actively trying to ruin my life. To any property owner looking to buy/sell or rent with these people I beg you to reconsider. There are other real estate companies who actually deserve your money. Let these guys go broke.

Can’t fault my experience with Century 21; all the staff but especially Lynsey were extremely helpful, professional and supportive from my first meeting to enquire about renting to the final step signing the lease. What could have been incredibly stressful and overwhelming was made clear and understandable and couldn’t have been a smoother process. Thankyou so much, highly reccomend the lovely team.

From the moment we enquired about our now newly purchased property, Nicole had been absolutely amazing, extremely helpful and has gone above and beyond.Nicole helped us with all our questions, gave us some great suggestions and ideas and also helped us feel confident in buying a property from interstate. Nicole kept us updated with each and every aspect of purchasing our new property, and we are extremely happy with the service, and ease in having Nicole as our agent. If you need a friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable realtor look no further, Nicole has her finger on the pulse and you can tell that she genuinely is passionate about real estate. Thank you!

Fantastic!!!! Lynsey, Kristy and the team at C21 Port Douglas have been nothing short of amazing. Having had an extremely poor experience with another agency in PD we were just about to lose our property and one quick simple phone call turned it all around. The entire team has been a pleasure to work with and we truly feel they had our best interests at heart. In such a short time frame Lynsey has given us confidence to keep our investment property. Without a doubt we would highly recommend C21 PD.

I purchased an investment apartment in Port Douglas through C21. Nicole Ritchie was the agent. She was extremely helpful and reliable throughout the process. I would recommend her to whoever is looking to buy or sell.

Nicole helped us navigate a complicated purchase and was patient, polite and helpful at all times. We would definitely recommend Nicole to anyone in the local area and have already done so. Having lived in Port Douglas a long time she has great contacts and insights into the market which is how we finally found our family home and various trades people to help us get it ready.

Myself and my partner had rented with C21 from 2018-2022, paid over $75,000 in rent and were overall good, respectful tenants. Always 2 weeks ahead of rent, never disturbed the neighbours. In 2019 we were woken up by a smoke alarm technician opening our bedroom door whilst we were asleep. This was so traumatising, we thought someone was breaking into our apartment. No entry notice was given. After raising this issue, instead of an apology, the owner accused us of “grubbing for free rent”. Since then, we have been failed for every rental inspection often with no reason. We were without hot water for 2 weeks. Tv or dryer didn’t work, stove top barely worked, the furniture was old and decrepit.Tradesmen blocked our driveway illegally multiple times, so we had no access to the car space. The property manager Lynsey Baird would gaslight us saying it wasn’t happening. When it came time to vacate the apartment, we asked Lynsey if we could use their cleaners as we were still busy with work. She said they didn’t have a cleaner. We took 2 full days to clean the whole run down unit. Then we received an email saying we had 24 hours to redo it all, otherwise they’d have to use their cleaner (who now magically exists) and take it from the bond. An entry report was never presented to my partner to sign, we were also refused a list of the property’s itinerary so how could we possibly know what belonged to them? We were accused of missing items and leaving things behind.$680 was taken from our bond for a cleaner which is unreasonable, as the property now listed online has now been renovated. $225 for steam cleaning the old chairs had also been deducted, but recent photos do not show those chairs anywhere. We are now looking for a rental on the other side of the country, and Lynsey has been refusing to give any references (we can see when she ignores them). This is vile! Stay clear of C21.
