Desperate for a good serve of old-time fish and chips, fresh and tasty, I abandoned Palm Beach for Avalon and found this place. And here, I got much more than I was expecting. The fish and chips, with salad and a delicious tartare sauce, was perfect, the service beyond compare, and even the parking out front easy. Can't beat this place. If you want, you can also make your order in French, and have a hilarious conversation too! Go there now!

Absolutely loved this place! Checked out this place because Google said it had oysters. It's not a very big place, but it had 3 tables for patrons who wanted to eat in, like we did. Fresh food on display included a variety of fish and of course, oysters. While we were enjoying our meals, there were continuous streams of walk in customers, some taking away cooked meals, but most bought the fresh seafood. We ordered the Crumbed Barramundi and Crumbed Cod dishes, both came with fries and salad. I actually ordered the Crumbed Prawns, but it was probably miscommunicated and I got the cod instead, which was very good too, so no complaints there. Everything was made and crumbed inhouse, and they were very fresh. Loved the homemade beer battered fries too. Had half a dozen oysters, which were lovely and creamy. All food came up to $46. The only thing I struggled with a little, is that the opened door of the restaurant let the chilly draft in, and I was already freezing after the whale watching cruise I was on. But other than that, two thumbs up and I highly recommend this place. Service was good too.

Best fish and chips we have had in Sydney. We live inner west but enjoy a trip to the northern beaches to get lunch from here and eat by the beach.Second visit today (last one was Australia Day), and the crumbed barramundi was delicious. Chips are flat cut and very good. Calamari was good and the Greek salad also very good (fresh, lots of ingredients).Portions are generous.We shall be back!

We were looking for gluten free fish and chips on the way home from the beach and we'll be coming back. The salt and pepper squid is gf and the chips were fantastic; chunky and crispy. Our kids had the prawn tacos but we'll get them for ourselves next time. Also, the grilled ocean trout was cooked to perfection. Glad we found this place!

Hand cut chips are fantastic, the rest of their seafood is good quality but you do pay for it. My biggest gripe is no chicken salt available, even the staff there told me: yeah it's a shame

Delicious hot and fresh seafood takeaway. Very generous portions and reasonable prices given the location and quality of the food. Friendly staff and quick service despite everything being cooked fresh to order. Tender calamari rings and nice bit of coleslaw salad served with the lunch pack with chips. Rarely up the Northern beaches way but would stop here for lunch next time I'm in the area.

One of the best fish and chips in the area! Crispy, fresh, fast takeaway. Homemade tartare sauce was delicious and the hand cut chips beautifully seasoned with rock salt! Greek salad has generous amounts of olives and feta! New favourite! Only downside would be the size of the shop and no view of the water. Lucky the lookout is close by.
