Well worth the drive from Lightning Ridge if you're staying there. Less touristy and a very interesting circuit of the opal field via the Orange Doors with stops along the way at the Grawin Country Club, the Glengarry Hilton and a fresh pie and beer for lunch at the Sheepyard Inn!

OK, but a long way to drive to see much the same as you see in Lightning Ridge ... but the 3 pubs in the Scrub make the teip worthwhile.

Glengarry Hilton Hotel. This place rocks. Entertainment, fabulous food, lots of room and characters to yarn with and soak up the love. The barman looked a picture in suit shirt and thongs and hailed as the best barman around. Recommend
