A quirky, retro-style theatre in a back street of St Kilda. Showcases innovative theatre from young playwrights and actors. On my last visit the audience was made up mostly of very young (uni-age) people. It’s a friendly and fun venue for those of us prepared to be challenged by theatre!

Lovely medium sized theatre on the fringe of bustling St. Kilda that presents new and edgy theatrical and artistic performance. Intimate venue, unobstructed views, feel like you are in the performance! Extraordinary range of genre of contemporary arts that might enthrall and challenge you.

This is an intimate performance space configured in the round with seating in raised bays behind meticulously clear polycarbonate screens for Covid conditions. It takes only a few minutes to adapt and the screen inter-reflections while not distracting during a show have the bonus of giving patrons additional front back or side views of actors when they are not bay facing, quite exciting. Sound and lighting are very good. The Blackbox foyer cafe is a delight as are the staff with coffee wine tea cider and beer available with snacks. Seating was armless and comfortable with low shared tables. Overall, a memorable pleasure, I'll be back.
